Hi, i've been doing some trading and exploring, until i found a Corsair ID and i bought it and equipped it to see what changed. I found out that now i was enemies with 70% of sirius factions, so i didn't like it and went back to my Freelancer ID to realize i was still enemy with 70% of sirius factions, since my reputation didnt suffer any changes. So, my question is, did i messed up, or there is a way to return my reputation back to "normal".
I did some search previously and i found out i could /restart, but that will imply the lost of characters current money and ship. I've thought about crating another char, give money to him, but i will lost my current ship...
The Corsair ID made you enemies to a lot of factions because faction IDs have "rephacks" which prevent reputation going above or below a certain point with other factions. Most will be rephacked hostile to Corsairs so the ID automatically adjusted you to being hostile to them.
The Freelancer ID is much more flexible and has fewer restrictions, so you can freely go about changing your rep by shooting NPCs, taking bribes and doing missions, just like you can in the vanilla game.
The Feeelancer ID does not have rep hacks, hence you can modify your rep with certain behaviour, like bribes or killing NPCs.
A corsair ID is heavily rep hacked, hence if you swap it for a Freelancer, the Freelancer does not impose further hacks so the rep you had before the swap stays.
Basically you broke your rep you can fix it with bribes and npc farming, but it's going to be a long way to go lad.
