- - - - - - - - Overview: - - - - - - - -
Trident, while being an unofficial moniker for the 1st Escort Group, formed in the wake of the Gallic war to secure commerce and infrastructure development in the frontier, is primarily centered around Omega-3 and more specifically Planet Sprague given its growing importance to the Kingdom's efforts.
They are a nontraditional and even perhaps esoteric unit who have, through the course of trial, tribulation and allegedly firsthand experience, made themselves well suited to the role of repulsing both criminal and revolutionary elements that plague the Omegas. This degree of efficacy and dedication lends them credibility among wider circles in Bretonia, beloved by the people of Sprague and respected by their CDI counterparts.
- - - - - - - - - Objectives: - - - - - - - - -
-}- Protect Bretonia's interests in the frontier, including the safe passage of commerce and secure development of infrastructure.
-}- Rebuke, reject, resist and expel all those that would seek to profit off of chaos and destruction. Including but not limited to - The Coalition, Corsairs, Gaians, Hessians, Mollys and other would-be insurrectionists.
- - - - - - - - - - Composition: - - - - - - - - - -
The 1st are composed of the HMS Rampart, a Fortitude-class battle cruiser and her associated fighter contingent, the group also maintains a number of Destroyer and Gunship class vessels for patrol duties. The backbone of major operations are almost always shouldered by the fighter contingent, which see deployment as far as Omega-49 given their effectiveness in rebuking raiding parties dispatched by local enemies. Their presence in other systems is typically uncommon and usually a result of extended pursuit or request for help, either by civilians or higher officers.
- - - - - - - - Structure: - - - - - - - - Protector-And-Chief(PAC):
The PAC is the Commanding Officer of the HMS Rampart and also oversees the deployment of its fighter contingent. He is entrusted with ensuring that the Escort group can function and fight. Currently the rank is held by Lukas Keller, lending a great deal of controversy and unintended political rhetoric to the otherwise purely straightforward posting. Nonetheless, a tradition of leading from the front is maintained to ensure that morale does not plummet.
Vanguard:
The rank and file of the Escort Group, they are pilots and officers whom have withstood all that the crucible of the Omegas has to offer and have emerged scarred but effective at meeting its miscreants and marauders in combat.
Enlist:
The inexperienced and green recruits who arrive either by way of volunteering, in a grand lapse of judgement or punishment for improper conduct elsewhere in the Armed Forces. Trident's postings are not peaceful and never pleasant, with attrition being a brutal and hourly occurrence. Many of these men do not see much beyond their first sortie.
Feedback here too? Just want to say I like the writeup and that a snub faction is what Bretonia needs. Nice that you mentioned the CDI in your lore too. Don't heed what some BAF players say, they are afraid that you're intending to become Bretonia's Battlegroup Harmony.
My only gripe is their logo and colours being rather foreign and hostile. Like the Privateers. And that their tag is going to confuse me even more along side those other attempts at chat art. Else it's welcome.

I like this, nice writeup. My Molly doods are basing out of Lisburn Rock and focusing on Cambridge and Omega-3, so hopefully we'll be seeing a lot of each other!
Looks like a nice faction, hope there is some activity. Happy to do any BAF RP with it, even if you want to complain about lack of resources or something.
Omega 3 focus is good, as the route to Rheinland is a good piracy spot and there are a bunch of Corsair and Molly factions cropping up lately. Gaians have drifted off unfortunately.
