Get over it. If I could, everyone can. A bomber rework is in progress. I have high hopes that everything will turn out good. As much I hate every single dev here, the current ones are ok so things will turn out good

I don't even make the top 30's in pvp, when I go to Conn, I am pretty much a free blue for most people there and I fly a Roc. If my SNAC connects with somebody's snub it's usually because they fly in a straight line trying to ram me or something

The bigger and slower the bomber, the tankier they are and, yes, less likely to oppose fighters. Some Light Bombers (the bergelmir being a specific example) can and will take dumps on fighters if flown properly. Bombers deal full damage to everything bigger than VHFs. So the majority of ship classes in the mod, with potential to instakill bombers, freighters, and SHFs, smaller gunboats, and kill all caps.

How is this relevant? And, if you hit something on your screen, you hit it. The game is entirely client-side hit detection, meaning that if it hits on your screen, you hit them, even if it didn't hit on their screen.

Why do bombers have to be specifically set up to fight fighters? If you want to be big and tanky and able to fight fighters and capital ships, pick a SHF. Ships should not be extremely good at one thing, and have all-around capability everywhere else. SHFs are in that weird balance state where, if you're any good, are very scary 1v1 in fighter duels, and can still pump out damage against caps. Some SHFs are as tanky as gunboats and put out even more DPS, and draining their core 10 times slower than gunboats.
I hate people wanting bombers to be incredibly good at everything, and I especially hate people wanting bombers to instakill everything that isn't a big dick capital ship.

You seem very hateful. Have you considered trying this new revolutionary chill pill?
Bombers always had a higher skill gap than fighters, bigger hitbox, slower turn rate, slower guns, less accuracy, not to mention there was a time when bombers could mount fighter weapons...
You know the Bomber Energy Cannons? All VHF can mount 4 or even 5 guns that do similar damage, with a faster projectile speed, from a smaller and faster ship. Fighters also have a bigger variety of guns they can choose from to accommodate each player's fighting style and give them an edge over the far more limited bomber arsenal.
In a fight between players of equal aiming and piloting skills between a VHF and a bomber, the VHF would always win, the only thing that could save the bomber was the SNAC and that ONLY if the bomber pilot was a master at aiming that thing.
With all that, an average fighter pilot will still have an advantage over a good bomber pilot.
Skill should not be punished. If you punish skill, then why should people log? Why would anyone want to play this game if the thing they've spent years getting good at is being taken away from them? This mod is starting to look like it's being made to accommodate a very specific part of the community with every new version and everyone else can get effed.
If that's the case, stop pretending that this is a free server, make it invite only and then you can have transports with flak cannons firing at 8.33 with 1500 range for all I care.
