Konnichiwa, bows respectfully
I just came out of surgery to find that things went sour between our people. For that I apologize and wish to rectify the problem. I believe the issue is the base in Sigma 19 that was found some time ago. It was found abandoned and it was perfect to use a research base with a little improvement of course.
What we did not know was that the Guild had this targeted for destruction. Your reasons for it are not relevant for this conversation but respected.
I spoke to Dr. Xi about this matter and reviewed the record of the conversation between yourself and her. No disrespect was intended nor is it now, not between people who have been friends and even allies for well over a decade. Our intention was to get the base able enough to be moved elsewhere, to get it "out of your hair," to remove a problem for you and provide us with an asset that we can use. Unfortunately, we did have to get goods to it to make it strong enough to move as it is a pretty good journey for it. Stopping goods to it will only inhibit this.
I do not wish ill feeling between our people nor do I want bloodshed. I took an oath to prevent that nor do I wish to have a crucial highway to Kusari space for the many goods we need blocked. I wish to resolve this peacefully.
We would still like to move the base and have plans to do so BUT, if you still feel that it needs to be destroyed for some reason, so be it. There is little I can do about it if your mind is made up. That said, I have one escort ship on the base that I need to evacuate. For him, it is a death sentence. If you destroy the base, he dies. If he leaves to fly home, he dies. That is no option. I ask that he may safely leave.
Or can I appeal to you to allow us to get the base repaired enough to leave? Finances are tight with the many projects I have going on but I am willing to work with you on this matter, restore our routes and to return to a peaceful co-existence of our people. I will meet you in person if you wish. I await your reply.
With respect,
Dr. John Henry Holliday
Founder, Med Force Enterprises
Thank you for your message. It is most gratefully received and The Guild trusts you are well.
The predicament we find ourselves in is a most unfortunate one. Foregoing the preamble out of respect for yourself, in short there has been a station constructed in Guild space in violation of the Gas Miners Guild's laws and regulations. Med Force Enterprises and their agents acting on their behalf have been supplying and further developing this illegal installation, also in violation of Guild law.
For GMG and Med Force Enterprises, a decidedly benevolent, philanthropic organisation, to come to blows is an entirely undesirable outcome and, in frank terms, insanity. But the facts are established. Med Force Donryu RnD exists in flagrant violation of Guild law, and to continue to illegally supply and operate it, knowingly and willingly infringing on Guild law in Guild space in the face of polite requests to cease such operations, is undoubtedly an unprovoked act of aggression from your organisation.
MFE is held is high regard by The Guild and your claims that you have not constructed this station are accepted at face value. It is also genuinely believed that no harm is intended. However, regardless of the identity of its constructors and the intent of its current occupiers, the continued existence and development of this installation undoubtedly steps on the hard-fought for sovereignty of the Gas Miners Guild in its own space.
Hundreds of thousands of men and women have given their lives over the centuries to protect the Gas Miners Guild's right to independence and self-determination. To forego its own rules in its own space that are established to safeguard the results of their efforts would be to run roughshod over their sacrifice. A strict, unwavering adherence to The Guild's will in its own space has been and must be maintained to ensure its very survival in the face of the legions raiders, looters, murderers and even outright entire house invasions that test its fortitude on a daily basis. Without this conviction, it would surely cease to exist.
It is for these reasons this installation must be dismantled, and hopefully this explains that The Guilds intent to do this is borne not from malice, but in protection of the principles that safeguard its very existence. It is hoped that MFE might empathise with our plight and not risk senseless violence with otherwise friendly neighbours that genuinely understand and appreciate the value you add to the Sirius Sector as a whole.
It is believed that your escort has already evacuated, but should any other ships need to leave Med Force Donryu RnD, they may do so in peace unmolested.

Yes, I ordered the lone escort pilot to leave the base yesterday evening for his own safety. He has since returned home and he did so without any incident as per the report he filed. As to the base itself, we found it as you see it so we have no clue as to who built it. We thought removing it from the system to a new location not only takes care of a problem for you but down the road, the research we learn from it would be mutually beneficial. We also needed a few days to build it up enough to make such move. I still make that offer however, if the Guild sees the need to destroy it, that decision will be respected.
I know about the Guild's sacrifices over its existence. My late wife, Midori, worked on Gas Miner Naha and that is where I met her. She told me the many stories about the people there. I do not wish to see decades of good relations to be ruined over this so between us, we can resolve this. My lone security ship is home and if you would rather see it destroyed instead of moved then I will accept that. I just want to see our good relations restored as I do our Sigma routes. Allow us to supply the base and move it, you may supervise that all you desire as I will provide a roster of those who are supplying.
It is for the reasons above, and the potential security risk a supposed research station, built by an unknown party very close to a known Outcast area of operations, that The Guild must insist the station is destroyed. Furthermore, Guild law can not be retroactively unbroken. It would be without meaning if actions were to carry no consequences.
It would therefore be helpful if you might disable the station's shielding and inform the transports supplying it on your behalf to cease their deliveries. The previously unencountered group identifying themselves as FTP bringing Corsair battleship escorts into Sigma-19 has been particularly threatening. Hopefully this unlawful and possibly dangerous station may then be dismantled swiftly, following which we will be in a position to draw a line under this unfortunate misunderstanding, restore Med Force Enterprises's free and unrestricted access to the Sigma Systems and revert back to our friendly relationship. It would also be The Guild's intent to review its philanthropic affairs and we just might find something to work on together to contribute to making Sirius a better place.

I have been informed that the shield has been disabled but the previous builders did something to it that is making it.....invulnerable....for the lack of better terms. I will call off the supplies to it as well however I will have no control over foreign pilots if they decide to press on with things. I am not sure what else to do on this issue. If it was not for a lot of scheduled and necessary procedures, I would head out that way for myself. I do agree, let us get through this and get things back to normal.
The station remains active, hostile and with its shielding up.
Unfortunately it would seem your words hold no water and are most likely employed as a stalling tactic. The Guild paramilitary will from now be undertaking retaliatory actions against any Med Force Enterprises ships and assets it may find within its reach, whether that be within or outside of Guild space.
It is extremely saddening and entirely confusing to see a former friend throw away an entirely positive relationship in this manner. Whatever the true motive for this unwarranted assault on the Gas Miners Guild, The Guild must always defend and protects its integrity to ensure its very survival.
You are recommended to give the Sigma Systems a wide berth at all times.

My words a stalling tactic? Oh please, you should know me better than that. You accuse me of throwing away a positive relationship? I think you are just looking for a reason to sabre rattle and you know I am no fighter pilot so MFE becomes an easy target.
I already told you that base was left for dead and we were willing to move it, move it to work out of to benefit us all. You chose not to. Since you will not allow one of my people to board it and attempt to shut it down, it will run out of fuel eventually.
You chose us as an enemy, we did not choose you. Stay out of the Omicrons! If you want to settle this, we do it on the ground at 10 paces.
It is the Guild's understanding that the station in question has been deconstructed of your own accord without the direct intervention of GMG.
This is considered a successful resolution and your assistance in this matter is most appreciated. Med Force Enterprises is once again welcome to attend the Sigma Systems and it is hoped we may now be able to put this unfortunate misunderstanding behind us.

Konnichiwa, Mr. Namura,
I too am glad of this positive resolution so please, let us continue working as friends as we have for so long in the past. If you need anything medical, just let us know.
