Esteemed gentlemen and ladies of Cryer Pharmaceuticals,
in lieu of the increasing number of affected civilians sustaining injuries and other types of bodily and mental harm during the ongoing civil strife within the borders of Rheinland, the Government of Rheinland is in need of a large amount of medical supplies. We would like to discuss a formal procurement contract consisting of delivery of 200.000 units of Pharmaceuticals and 50.000 units of Med-Stasis bands for humanitarian aid distribution within our borders. In addition to any and all profits made from local distribution of the aid packages by Cryer Pharmaceuticals, the government of Rheinland is offering additional compensation worth 200.000.000 credits once records of deliveries have been provided. If your company is to agree to these basic premises, the Imperial Ministry of Health stands ready to provide specific composition of the aid packages requested.
His Majesty's Government hopes to hear from you soon as time is of the essence in this situation.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen,
Hans Schwalben,
Deputy of the Imperial Ministry of Interior

The situation in Rheinland, at least from the testimony of our transport and security pilots, is grim, to say the least. Cryer, as a business founded on the practice of researching, manufacturing, and shipping pharmaceuticals is definitely considering accepting this contract. However, we would like to note that the cost of the sheer bulk the Crown is requesting would likely not be completely covered by the amount of currency provided.
For instance, simply to get the load of Pharmaceuticals into space, the cost is approximately 143,400,000 SC, given the majority of our manufacturing assets are being moved to Syracuse. For Med-Stasis Bands, that is 10,000,000 approximately. And bear in mind, that is just the labor costs for production and initial movement onto the ship. The rest of that money is liable to be expended on covering working wages for transport pilots.
46,600,000 Credits does not last long in the hands of a corporation needing to pay both transport and security personnel. It also does not fund further research and development, and do not even get us started on in-company insurance policies, much less fuel.
If we could suggest, perhaps, 500 million SC? Surely the Kaiser's coffers are not a concern, given the Imperial hold on New Berlin, and Stuttgart, two financially stout and strong systems.
We look forward to hearing from you on this subject.

Thank you for your swift reply. The Imperial government has a duty to the people of Rheinland both in terms of their general well-being as well as in taking care of its citizens's finances. By our calculations based on current prices, delivery to local markets such as the one on New Berlin would net Cryer 503 million credits, just for the delivery of the Pharmaceuticals. Beyond the local market price, the Empire is willing to fund additional 250 million credits. Frugality is especially important in times of war and the government holds itself to the highest degree of accountability.
We await your response.

Regarding local market prices, that is incorrect. Subtracting initial costs alone from Pharmaceutical shipments would reduce the hypothetical net profits to 360,200,000 SC approximate. Combine that with the projected net profit of Med-Stasis Bands, that results in a net of around 451,950,000 SC. That is a deficit of around 51,650,000 SC from the "Pharmaceuticals-only" price alone.
We sincerely hope that the Kasierreich has a functioning accounting department, because as a country in civil war there is both the presence of mounting casualty military rates as well as civilian injury from politically-motivated violence and police action. Pharmaceuticals and emergency medical equipment such as Med-Stasis Bands are in heavy demand, especially in a war-torn region, and as a company not directly involved in the civil war, we do not have the same political restrictions as a company like Daumann.
Please, consider your circumstances and position.

notwithstanding our different calculations, even by your numbers Cryer would stands to make more than 700 million in profit from this contract. This calculation also does not entail the possibility of exporting cargo from Rheinland back to your original destination. Therefore Cryer stands to profit around a billion from this humanitarian aid mission. The government feels that this more than fair remuneration for your services.
We would also like to point out that Cryer currently holds special privileges in our House allowing Cryer vessels to transport unlimited amounts of Human Organs, Stabiline and Synthetic Marijuana which no other corporation possesses. Should Cryer Pharmaceuticals fail it's humanitarian foundation and goals, we might see no further purpose for this concession.
We await your final answer within 24 hours before we pursue other recourses.

There is no sense in debating this any more.
Ultimately this is a concern of pride, if not outright hubris for the Imperial Government. You treat Cryer as a body that can be pushed like a national corporation, say, Imperial Shipping. As it stands, we will issue an order for all non-native employees in Imperial territory to return to their respective countries of origin, and lay off the rest. There are more favorable markets elsewhere, evidently.
Expect a shortage of goods.
Good day.
