I'm Itto Kaisa Kiyoko Hayashimura, commanding officer of the 66th Advanced Battlegroup: a force tasked with critical missions and assignments of higher priority; tasks that most normalized units of the Navy wouldn't be handling. Naturally, of course, it carries added the added risk that accompanies such responsibilities and missions. We also conduct regular deployments to the Omicrons to survey the situation in the neighboring systems, however, that's not our focus currently with the war raging on Galia, you may have already met some of our forces operating in the Gallic front.
We regularly scout for potential transferees to the battlegroup from the regular ranks for any potential or existing qualifications or skills that we could use in our operations, should it be leadership, diplomatic, or combative. Some call it monopolizing, but we're mostly composed of elites and the most competent of soldiers. You may be pleased to know that you're one of those we scouted. I've looked through your field reports, we could certainly use more pilots and soldiers of your caliber. That said, Itto Kai Ohru also put in a good word for you, I believe you two have already flown together. Lieutenant Commander Ohru is one of the newest additions to the battlegroup; despite her lacking ability to coordinate herself on her own, she's an excellent wingman and knows her way around using words and not weaponry - for the most part.
Regardless, this is about you. You're given a chance to fill in a post in the battlegroup with the new responsibilities and tasks it beholds. Of course, you'll be flying amongst a more veteran layer of servicemen, with less red tape to get things done; how we do the task is irrelevant. Devising and executive plans at a whim and of our accord.
Should you accept the opportunity laid ahead of you, you'll find yourself on the most critical of battles, and your actions will weigh more on your advancements in the Navy. However, just like every force of our tier, failure is not an option. You will be expected to operate at a hundred percent at all times, otherwise, you'll get back to fighting Chrysanthemum and Dragon suicidal rookies on the trade lanes.
Feel free to ask any question you may have, otherwise, I'll be waiting for an answer.
In service,

I have to admit, I didn't expect a communiqué of this nature to end up in my inbox. I've been happy with my performance among the Naval Forces' ranks so far, that much is true, but I didn't realise Ohru-san had gone so far as to mention me for the Special Expeditionary Battlegroup. From my numerous patrols with her by my side, I can say that I have the utmost respect for her tact and ability to handle a wide variety of situations, either by her preferred method of weaponising her words or by more conventional methods.
I've only had the opportunity for brief forays to the Gallic front so far; the majority of my postings have been as you say, with the Fourth Home Fleet and the Yamaguchi, patrolling Kusari's own lanes in search of Dragon and Chrysanthemum patrols to suppress. That's what I've become accustomed to during my time in the Territorial Police, as well, so in truth I'd felt more at ease than I anticipated following my transfer.
That said, however, after some thought I would be honoured to accept the invitation to be formally transferred into the 66th Advanced Battlegroup -- I appreciate the value of what's being offered to me here today, and I am loath to turn down an opportunity that would both challenge me and allow me to broaden my horizons as a pilot and servant to Kusari. Striving to keep Kusari herself safe is the kind of task that I am slowly coming to realise requires more than just internal security; Sirius is a big place, and threats can lurk in the most distant and sometimes unlikely of locales.
I await further details regarding the transfer process, and I'd ask only that you consider this response to be a formal letter of acceptance to the opportunity put to me here today.
I'm pleased. We'll begin with your transferring procedure immediately, your current CO is being briefed on the transfer as we speak. A shuttle will arrive Yamaguchi at 0800 tomorrow to deliver you to Hyono where the bulk of the battlegroup is attached. You will be briefed on arrival and access code privileges changed accordingly, briefing for the upcoming operation will be done soon as well.
Looking forward to see you in action, lieutenant. Yokoso.
