FROM: Rear Admiral Blake Wayne Van Leer TO: MacManamann CC: Liberty Forces SUBJECT: The Strike Force banner Hello Commanding Officer of the battlecruiser MacManamann!
I will simply say:
Quote:Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
I understand our Strike Force is garnering extensive good will with the people of Liberty and within The Liberty Navy itself. Frankly, it doesn't surprise me you wanted to be part of something greater today - who wouldn't want to soar with the eagles, to touch greatness, to be seen as one of Liberty's uttermost honorable officers even if for just one day! However I must tell you that there is a right and wrong way of doing things.
The right way is - contacting our HQ, sending a recruitment application, and flying vessels that correspond to your rank and acting in line with our code of conduct. The wrong way then would be to hijack the 46th| banner without permission, ignoring hails of our officers and operating a ship you have not yet earned to command under our banner.
Needless to say to the remainder of the Liberty Forces that will receive a copy of this message - you were not authorized to fly your battlecruiser under the 46th| banner today, and we officially disavow any actions you have committed while doing so. I even heard rumors you used a jump drive to depart god knows where far away from Liberty - and believe me, I used to operate in The Taus and other places before joining the Task Force extensively, but even I as Rear Admiral cannot leave areas without Liberty presence unless given the direct permission of our Fleet Admiral himself.
Flattering as it may have been , I will have to ask you to cease using the 46th| banner on your unauthorized battlecruiser immediately or we will be forced to take further action. Rest assured we will go into great lengths to prevent our banner being abused without authorisation.
