Hello, I used to record Disco PvP videos on OBS, but have since found that it drains my FPS far too much.
Was wondering what other people are using or if anyone could recommend software that does not drain my fps as much.
Windows+G in windows 10 if you use it for inrp reports, etc and video feed quality is not the top priority. It even makes taking screenshots so much less of an ordeal, which frees your mind to play the game instead of having /time always ready

Thanks, I have been trying this last week. While my FPS shows as normal on the top right, it feels like its far worse, even worse than OBS. As in, it may show 130 FPS in the top corner, but what I actually see is 60.

The frame rate you see is dependent on what Hz your monitor can display. But try to turn off background programs as that can further slow your frame rate and performance during recording game play. Also if you are using the window 10 game bar recorder, turn on record backround or it may be record desktop. That helped me when I used it.
Just be careful if your listening to music as it will record that to, making you not able to upload it to YouTube because of copyrights.
I use bandicam, even on my ancient SATA drive it doesn't affect the fps too much. The quality suffers compared to other software though and you need to record in a resolution that's basically half the original res, as if you turn the quality up too high it has a huge impact on fps for some reason with this game

Appreciate, but your information is not accurate. I actually have over 120 videos on my channel, most of them unlisted now, but I don't think you quite understand FPS in disco haaha. I am really looking for something different. I know the general tips on how to get high FPS. I am more searching for a lighter recording software. And yeah, I know about the music. All my videos have music.

Ok, I will try this. Does anyone have experience recording with NVIDIA SHADOWPLAY? I have just heard this is a very good software for Disco, but I can't get it to detect Disco as a game.
