Since we returned from Orkney, some time was taken off to take a closer look at the Azurite situation we have on our hands. I was really hoping that Gallia would let us stay in their border systems for a longer time, but I suppose with all that has happened there in the last several years, they don’t take anymore chances.
Some manipulation properties were found from the research on Azurite, looks like it could interact with some other elements. The reports from the science team have been promising thus far. A lot of intel was used from Knossos and other ruins we uncovered to learn more about what Azurite can do.
The end goal with all of this is learning a way that we could hopefully augment at least one of our subsystems to give us that extra edge when its needed. Procuring more advanced military-grade equipment likely won’t be an option. The coming few weeks should be interesting.

Took some time catching up on comms that were pushed aside during the last week. One of our courier ships flying in from Omega 41 had received word that some of the local Zoners there and nearby systems had heard of us and wanted us to investigate for possible Nomad incursions. Several of their transports had gone missing during the past few weeks with little explanation, and they do not have the manpower to search large areas and cannot afford to lose many more ships.
As soon as a few housekeeping things are taken care of, we will move ahead into that sector to see what is going on. There has been a little downtime recently so it would be good to get back into the swing of things.
We had some clerical errors with secondary supplies that were not requisitioned sufficiently. A brief restocking at Freeport 9 brought us back up to spec quickly.
Today we returned from a run through Omega 41 and scouted what we could. Several sectors of the system were looked in to based on reports from earlier.
Unfortunately, after over a day spent in there, we could not locate anything worth our time. In addition to all that, the heavy radiation makes high resolution scans very difficult. Short of extra-vigilant Corsairs that found it strange we were there; our travels were un-eventful. We will continue to monitor comms coming from Omega 41 in case any situation that requires our attention should arise.

Stormhawk had a brief interaction with a Zoner capital ship that seemed to have lost its way. Apparently, they were trying to make their way back to Liberty via a jump drive but had run into trouble. Their group had only recently arrived in the Omicrons and were trying to find their bearing.
The captain of their ship claimed to be part of some sort of Zoner Defense force that was trying to secure interests for Zoners in multiple areas. First and foremost, their goal was Liberty. I know that Zoners hold a base in Pennsylvania which I always found strange, the fact that some wanted to live inside House territory, based on what I’ve been led to believe about Zoners in general.
We sent them some basic information on the surrounding area as well as cautioned them of Nomad activity. Their captain assured me they could handle themselves.
I had not heard of these ZDF yet and as such I will see if anything further can be found out about them before proceeding further, could be an ally on the horizon.
