Incident in the Galileo system
St Agatha Hospital had completed its tour of the Kusari system and had just entered the Galileo system. Our sensors detected a faint and garbled electronic distress signal which we were obliged to respond to. The ship went into electronic silence in order to detect the location of this signal that grew weaker by the minute however the ships systems were able to detect the approximate location and headed there at best speed with all systems turned back on and scanners at full range.
In the area of the distress signal a great deal of debris was discovered which could be partially identified as Liner. A number of deceased human bodies were also identified which were tractored direct to the ships morgue.
At extreme scanner range a multi person life pod was detected but with weak life signs. That pod was tractored to our cargo bay were 64 casualties with various injuries were attended to by our ER and OR teams. 4 Bodies were recovered but only 1 casualty was in any condition to be interviewed by our welfare nurse which revealed the following unsubstantiated facts.
The survivor claims that they embarked at various locations in Gallia with the promise of a new life in the Liberty systems. However once on board they were confined to container like pods and crammed in with very little space to move. The cost was 5,000,000 per head for this new life but they were given no food or liquid to help sustain them. As time went on it seemed as if the ship was in continual need of repair and progress was very slow. At one point a crew member laughed stating that they would soon be in the Omegas. Rumours of being shipped into slavery soon spread. After what seemed a long time static in space their cells doors were opened but there was no sign of any crew. It became a panic as those on board stampeded for the life pods when the ship's compartments started to explode. There was then a large explosion was he assumed their pod was thrown into space.
A detailed search of the area continued with no results therefore the St Agatha Hospital then moved to Planet Manhattan were authority was granted to disembark the survivors into Liberty's care.
