I am with Carl on that. The loose of the Newcastle and even more the Coronado JH nails our whole faction to the Taus. Thats not funny.
Furthermore, no one will travel through a dead end system, cause its a dead end. We are robbed off interaction and RP with tresspassing traders, explorers and and and.

I think making it a dead end system or worse, removing Baffin, would make Malaclypse 666 roll over in his grave. I've had some great memories in my 13 years of Disco in that system and continue to do so with Med Force General. I may even be making Doc's son a TAZ just for fun. If nothing else, at least put the JH to Coronado back so that there can be life. I saw no problem with things as they were to include the Newcastle JH but at LEAST the Coronado JH, please.

Baffin was a nice change of pace, a resting spot where you could take a breather in peace while smuggling. It's one of the few systems where people actually care about the rules a faction put in place around it. Yea it's nice having a faster connection from Liberty since it's been deemed that Magellan-Leeds is too dangerous to keep as a full connection, but why retire Baffin to do so? It's not like the Nado-Tau corridor in Baffin was a long haul or anything
This. The iconic Barrier gap corridor isn't the same without Baffin. Always felt like a little spot of reprieve from the nasty world outside.
I would like to see Baffin return as a corridor system. Baffin has this atmosphere which is found nowhere else in the game. Its not even that long of a route as the jump holes in the system are relatively close to eachother.
Basicly I see no reason why it was shoved aside like this.

It also gave some space for interception from T31 -> Coronado route. Now it's basically 2 stations near the holes on each end.
Also literally removing the ability to commit war crimes in neutral space, smh.

Thank you, and thank you all for putting in your opinions in this case. Damn, this is important, at least for us whacky hippies...
But it also shows, that there is interest in "our" system for a lot of other pilots and captains. Baffin is not only a shortcut, it´s a nice place to rest and drink a coffee and have a bath at Shasta Orbital before flying into the dangerous and strange Taus.
At least this discussion led to a application of someone, who wants to join us, so it´s obvious: We are still there, and we will provide fancy amulets against all dangers of the Sirius sector furthermore.
And thank you Doc Holliday! Well, I really hope to see your son joining us, even i he´s not into medical at all. We´ll wait for his arrival at the temple.
I really hope, that the JHs will be reopened again. Kallisti and good flight to all of you, Carl Bergmann, Capt´n of the Deadcat, 23´s out...
P.S.: And you all can see, how important this must be, as it is my 23´d thread in the forums. The holy number should do the trick!
Almost nobody cares if you replace one Omicron with another Omicron , Omega with another Omega or cut out a Gallic system that look mostly simmilar.
But Baffin is very unique in the game - I think the public response speaks for itself. Nobody cried for Alberta when it was clear it was getting the boot - or that what's it's face - omega or sigma in dark matter storm that got just deleted.
