Then you, Cato Sicarius, yourself, should go ahead and make a player request, showing Game Masters some RP, for this module to be masked specifically on your ship. So that you, Cato Sicarius, be happy and no longer try to turn this game into a circus. You, Cato Sicarius, yourself, of course. Please, yah. Thanks.
Many things come, many things pass. Yet so many of such "personal opinions" got implemented over the course of years. Everyone's free to have their own take on each matter.
Epo is right here, there must be done something about the cloaking devices. You have bought a cloak device which is far too obvious when you have it in game. They see your ship cloak from a far when they first spot you. Cloaking device must be a surprise thing, not - Hey, Hello, i got a cloak, you don't even need to scan me.
Do you understand that the vast majority of players just scan targets before and during combat? Now you really have a chance to become one of them. Don't thank for the hint.
Jokes aside, you seem to have completely missed the point.
The thing I mean isn't completely removing the ability to spot ships with cloaks as it is not possible with the current code / mechanics being used on the server. What I wanted to push was mitigating the limitations imposed by the engine by replacing the object's model [with something already commonly used withing the game's files] as well as (possibly) changing the infocard. The equipment in question would still, ofc, be visible upon scanning but it wouldn't be as obvious as it is right now.
Having said so, not everything you see upon scanning is 100% legit iRP info, it's just a compromise between used scripts / FL's engine and gameplay in iRP environment. Otherwise each and every single character would be immortal and undercover agents would be immediately detected upon being met by -literally- anyone.
