Omicron Psi always calmed Katherine down. In this place, she was as far as she could be from the troubles of humanity - even the most reckless Zoner scavengers and the most fanatical Order squads rarely ventured this deeply into the Light's grasp.
Out here, she could tune out her worries and clear her mind. All she perceived was the gentle murmuring of the myriad mindshare nodes flowing about the system, and the soft, pink hues of the nebula. She knew she couldn't stay here forever, but just for a while, she allowed herself to enjoy the blissful calm.
She was so entranced by the serenity of her leisure flight, she barely noticed a small scanner blip. Metallic, no outward energy signature. Human debris of some sort, she mused - although it was remarkable that anything human would find its way this far out. Her curiosity piqued, she set a course for the source.
Getting into visual range, Katherine identified a disabled Sabre. Another light on her scanner readout, and she had to check it twice to ensure she wasn't imagining things, but sure enough: Although all the ship's systems seemed to be offline, there was a faint life signature coming from it.
Her heart beating rapidly now, she hurried to the RV's airlock and struggled herself into her spacesuit to investigate.
Upon reaching it, a closer inspection shows various scratch marks and dents all over the ship, like it was in a fight or an ambush. Cockpit glass was intact, but the most standing out detail were the weapons. They simply didn't belong there.
Combination of Rheinland's plasmas, and unidentified but most likely, codenamed cannons. For sure, it couldn't be some ordinary space wanderer. Was it Das Wilde agent? Or was it Buro's operative?
A look trough tinted cockpit's glass barely reveals pilot in the seat, hooked by some cable to the back of the helmet and the pilot appears to be unconscious. Helmet is of a different design, it appears to be all around, but made of glass. Dashboard, that was most likely giving out the signal, was glowing in blank green color with no activity.
