"Just a latte, please" She spoke, before the waiter left to gather their desired beverages. Emily leaned on her elbow, leaning forward slightly.
"So, what does the grand Director Antonin do in his spare time?" There was a hint of intrigue from her tone, a wondering what Antonin would be like, if he didn't have the responsibilities which came with his position.
"Interesting question. What do you think I would do in my spare time?" Lusignan looked at his interlocutor: he had to remain vigilant even if the meeting had quite strong romantic vibes. The woman next to him was or remain an agent to hostile state's intelligence. She may pretend that working for credits but until Antonin has no evidence confirming her words - Emily remains a potential threat.
Emily tilted her head slightly, her pupils turned to the corner of her eye, she smiled briefly rubbing her lips with her index finger.
"I think... Maybe..."
Her stare locked back onto Antonin.
"Some light Botany, maybe? Astronomy?"
The thoughts were some hope, hope that Antonin had spare time to pursue his own interests, rather than being buried in paperwork. Though she knew, it was likely for him to be a workaholic.
"I once had a similar conversation. Must say, your guess is more innocent than the last time. Would you believe that the "mighty" Director of Security Bureau is a big fan of fantastic movies, the ones about time travelling in particular?" he has giggled briefly before proceeding. "Yet, as I said I had similar conversations before, and some people prefer to believe my hobby is torturing people in my free time."
"How about you? Any hobbies or other way to spend your spare time?" asked him, to keep the conversation going light and comfy.
"Become a humble member of our little torture club and you will have a free tutorial "How to torture a Kusarian with their own cartoons". he smiled at her attempt to flirt. Yet, he was feeling rather old for this so decided to not answer it. "You, also, didn't answer my question; or this is an interrogation and I was not informed?"
"Oh wow, there's a club?" She asked playfully trying to act honoured.
"Oh... Is that how you do it here in Gallia? You inform them they're being interrogated?"
She giggled to herself, from her tone it was clear she was joking.
"To answer your question, I do this and that, trying new things right now, though I have found I do enjoy pottery..." She admitted.
"Yes, a club. Interested to join? Our trial is eating a bretonian baby and drinking the blood of Liberty's virgin." he tried to keep his face serious but it was quite obvious that he joked: awkwardly, but yet, joked. "Pottery is pretty rare art nowadays. People prefer all these plastic dishes over natural. The same applies to all the things that used to be made by potters. Yet, you may find some nobles enjoying ceramics dishes and other products made by very few ceramics masters in Gallia. Perhaps, visiting Orleans should be part of your 'to-do list. I believe you may find things for your hobby."
"I have a brother, Quentin. Unlike me, he decided to follow family traditions and continued running Blue Diamonds refinery on planet Metz after our father died. While I was busy with warcraft he was making not only wealth but family as well." something sad appeared for a moment in his eyes but faded away the moment later. "How about you? I hope you are not one of the orphans of war because then I would feel really awkward, despite not participating in the War until the Interregnum."
