Early life and civil occupations Born on Planet Manhattan, she was a strange child from the beginning. Possessing almost an unhealthy obsession for maths and patterns, later for physics and electronics, she outgrew her peers in that regard and earned her first mastery from astrophysics at the age of 21.
She was later employed by Ageira Technologies as scientist, where she gained more experience in the fields, but became dissatisfied by 'corporate'-style of scientific work, feeling it more than a mundane job than true discoveries. This led her to making another mastery degree from electronics, before taking chance to apply to more interesting LSF career. While she was clearly above-average scientist in her department, she wasn't able to do any interesting breakthroughs - her research was mostly based around making already functioning parts or equipment more efficient or reliable. She retains some ties to the company.
LSF assignments After few hardships with her previously less than spectacular body shape at that time, she was accepted into the LSF at her age of 23 as an assistant scientist. After two years of conditioning and examinations, she was transferred to Alaska and Virginia. All information from this time is classified or outright deleted.
After seven years of mostly laboratory work, she decided to spend less time in labs than before.
She possesses mastery degrees in astrophysics, electronics, biology and xenoarchaeology.
Deal with the Devil Around five years ago, Abigail was researching dangerous and active alien relics. This felt like a living dream as she never imagined anything like that - those relics proved to be a completely and only partially understood field of study. Full of new potential breakthroughs and discoveries.
But as the months went by, her lack of progress plagued her mind and studying alien technologies became her obsession. She was contacted by mysterious LSF operatives, who promised to show her even more. Being relatively fresh and dutiful agent - she turned their offers down, but spark of curiosity within her hasn't allowed her to report them.
It took just a few unsuccessful months to change her opinion and Abigail sought them out - and they've come. They revealed themselves as Division 9 and took her to 'Altair', where they probably planned to 'open her mind to other possibilities' in a more usual way, but it wasn't necessary in the end.
Her motivations for joining them were rather simple at their core - Abigail is extremely curious, but also irresponsible and careless scientist and she cares little for politics and ideology. That desire for discoveries led her into the Ageira Technologies in the first place, but once science became mundane and routine 'job', she was looking for more interesting opportunities. With close ties between Ageira Technologies and LSF it was just a matter of time before she joined their ranks. And after years in LSF - another, more interesting opportunity presented itself.
In her own mind - Universe is full of wonders, which are to be discovered, measured and researched. It doesn't really matter if it will be done under a secretive government agency or inhuman 'Benefactors'. And with Order's habit for abducting/killing 'reckless' government scientists like her and destroying 'priceless' alien relics - she has a little reason to believe that 'Benefactors' are worse for humanity than them.
She is currently fascinated by feats like Vagrants' ability to move across the Sirius without any need for more conventional jump gates and jump holes. If it can be just adapted or replicated for human ships - it would mean unimaginable opportunities for future space exploration.
AGENT'S ASSETS
"Prowler" - LHX5-F1S "Falchion" Very Heavy Fighter
Instead of using standard-issue Liberty snubcraft - Abigail chose this one as her personal snubcraft mainly because of its larger frame and more readily available spare parts, which is especiallly handy when operating too far from Liberty.
The frame itself has several key advantage over venerable Libertonian snubcraft. It's long nose is able to house more sensor and electronics equipment with more powerful directional antennas, as there is no pilot in front of it which should be shielded from emitted EM radiation. This makes all this equipment more accessible and easier to modify according to her needs without restricting scanning arcs and rearranging antennas around frontal cockpit as with standard-issue fighters.
Another key advantage is in its external engine pods, which are mounted to the main fuselage externally. While this offers a larger profile when in combat, it also makes those engine easier to repair, replace or modify, as the only issue is with engine nacelles volume, which can be more easily rearranged than with engines mounted in the main body.
This has been already exploited, when its original engines got replaced with experimental engines for extra power output and fuel efficiency.
Part of its internal cargo bay now serves as her small cramped living space when long-range flights are conducted or when there are no docking facilities available.
Snubcraft is armed with four experimental SOLARIS cannons for its main firepower and twin CP-e "Debiliator" Advanced Mk2 pulse cannons when shieldbusting or 'non-lethal' subsystem disabling is required.
