NAME: ERIN MOON CALLSIGN: MONGOOSE GENDER: FEMALE YEAR OF BIRTH: 804 A.S. AFFILIATION: THE BOUNTY HUNTERS GUILD (PENDING) REGISTRATIONS:***** CLAIMS:
BIOGRAPHY:
Born to unknown parents likely originating from Liberty, Erin was one of the few survivors of the "Evermore-tragedy" of 809 A.S. when she was aged 5. She was onboard the passenger transport 'The Evermore' with her parents and nearly 3,000 other people when the ship was intercepted and destroyed in a matter of seconds by a joint wing of Outcast and Rogue bombers.
From the scarce information retrieved from the wreckage it is believed 'The Evermore' had stumbled upon a large Cardamine transaction in Tau-29 and when the captain of the passenger transport had been unable to communicate with the criminals due to interference from the nearby Baffin jumphole, the Outcasts and Rogues had joined forces to swiftly dispose of the ship to maintain the secrecy of their operation.
Of the 2,877 passengers and crew listed on the manifesto only 11 survived. Someone had put Erin in an escape pod and managed to launch it just before 'The Evermore' exploded, but the shock and trauma had left her with no recollection of the event, or her past life, except her first name. The Zoners quickly moved in to rescue any survivors, and they brought the child to Baffin where she started her new life.
The Zoners jokingly gave Erin the last name 'Moon' and wished for her to live according to the Sacred Holy Tome. She never really understood any of it, but the name stuck. What she truly desired was to avenge the life stolen from her. She took a keen interest in piloting and later flew patrols in Baffin for a while, until she found her way to Sheffield Station, Manchester and joined The Bounty Hunters Guild in 824 A.S. aged 20.
Her guildmates quickly noticed how she pursued targets with extreme viciousness, seeming to take pleasure in using sophisticated APM technology and superior firepower to destroy even minor smugglers carrying a few units of Cardamine or other illicit goods. She once told a wingman that it was her ambition to kill 2,866 criminals, one for every soul lost on 'The Evermore'. Where her guildmates were motivated by greed and would back down from a fight with little chance of a payout, Erin was driven by a blind hatred that gave her a reputation as reckless and dangerous even among Bounty Hunters.
Three years later Erin started operating out of Houston, Texas. The large contingency of former inmates from Huntsville and Sugarland among the guildmates there made her believe that most petty criminals were trapped by a series of poor life-choices they were unable to escape. The real cause was further up the foodchain. The ex-convicts were more accustomed to ruthlessness among pilots, and they took a liking to the young Bounty Hunter and joked about how she was so cold-hearted she would have been a Corsair pirate queen had she been born on Planet Crete.
As a consequence of her new experiences in Texas she had decided to no longer aggressively pursue any and all bountied targets, and instead made it her mission to seek out and destroy the leaders and top henchmen of every unlawful faction in Sirius. She would wear the vermin out, then bite the head. She would be the pest control going straight for the source.
METHODS:
Due to her risky approach and murderous intent, Erin mostly operates alone. She has been known to break off fights and forego lesser bounties in exchange of intel in the pursuit of more dangerous targets. She uses knowledge gathered from traders, lawful authorities, and sometimes even smugglers and other criminals, to ambush high-profile targets when they are alone and at their most vulnerable. This strategy has led her to bite off far more than she could chew on several occasions, but for each trip to the escape pod she has come back even more determined and focused on revenge.
