"We have an arrangement with the Crayter Republic to help build our own installations in exchange for a discount in our supply fee. Perhaps a similar arrangement can be made here? A discount in our supply fee in exchange for coordinates to jump holes in the Omicrons and Omegas?" Rachel asks, her business voice and face being exposed.
She has taken over the conversation, not to Bill's disappointment. He leans back in his seat, her words mirroring his own thoughts. Bill nods.
"As such, this agreement would draw our two organizations even closer. As I said, Mr. Vicci, ConEx is committed to serving your supply needs.".
With the 800 crew on board Starflier Base, the storage tanks for necessities are constantly getting cleaned out. The Starfliers' own tradesman would have filled the position of taking care of the base if he wasn't out doing trade runs all the time. This put Leon in a position to secure his home's permanency within the Kepler System, capitalizing on the offer Rachel extended.
"Star charts of the Omicrons and Omegas, in exchange for guaranteed discounted supply of necessities? Mutually beneficial, no drawbacks... Yeah."
Having already made up his mind on the subject, a moment was taken to give the image of thought. Once pretending to weigh the pros and cons were over, Leon raises his head.
"I can agree to that."
His right hand extended for a handshake with Rachel.
Bill watches Rachel work her diplomacy magic. She stands with Leon and, after coming to an agreement, shake hands. Bill also stands, reaching his hand out to Leon to shake on the deal.
"It is confirmed then.", Bill says with a nod."Constellation Express will support this installation with critical supplies in exchange for map information in the Omicrons. For anything specific or in depth, we will rely on your organization and contract the work!".
"We also... wait..." Bill adds, his face darting to the left and right.
"Where is Hank?!"
Just then, a large crash is heard in the kitchen. The three run behind the cafeteria to find Hank covered in an assortment of food. Bill's face turns red while Rachel subtly nibbles her lower lip and giggles.
"Oh, Hank!", she laughs.
"It's like looking after a child. Argh!", Bill exclaims.
Hank is escorted to the crew showers to that he can clean himself off. Bill is profusely apologizing to Leon for this unprofessional behavior.
"We will leave shortly, hopefully without anymore messes.", Bill blushes in embarrassment.
Steven drops his pristine chefs hat on the counter and puts the recently dirtied apron in the back room before heading out with a loud sigh. The rest of the team behind the kitchen scramble to clean up after Hank's mishap. Outside the showers, Leon facepalms as he admits,
"Funnily enough, this isn't the first time that's happened. Thought the last time was going to be the last, even after the revised cafeteria guidelines. Anyways, I had the docking crews give your vessel a once-over on the exterior. Should find it much shinier than when you landed. Don't worry, your weapons are mounted."
