She takes into consideration the offer that Cait has given her. Surely a small vacation on Curacao would be a nice treat for having to work so much, but she doubts that she has the time for such indulgences. Besides, even if she did, she probably wouldn't be able to shake the feeling of guilt for being the only Dragon who could experience the luxury that Orbital Spa & Cruise can offer. For having the chance to relax for once, and to temporarily forget about your duties. She hasn't felt something like that since summer vacations in high school. She puts it in the back of her mind for now as she tries to finish up her food. "Well, if I were ever to make a trip like that, it most certainly would have to be planned well ahead of time. I'm quite busy as you might assume." She said after listening to their proposal.
After finally finishing up her food, she gently wipes her mouth with her handkerchief that was resting on the table. She listened as the two voiced their concerns about flying while tipsy, and nodded silently. "For the time being, the bedrooms in this castle's upper floors remain vacant. All the residents of this secluded town return to their homes to rest. I'm sure there's space enough for the both of you, so don't worry about doing something stupid out in space." Just after saying so, another server enters the room, carrying the desserts that Cait and Steph ordered. Noticeably, there were only two plates there. Tsuya doesn't much care for desserts, so she tends to leave them out of her diet. The server sets the plates down in front of the two on the table, and bows before promptly leaving the room.
"They're so timely, aren't they? These people are so used to caring for each other because nobody else can. They won't accept laziness or lateness under any excuse. I wonder if that would ever change, if the time we overtake this planet ever comes..."
Cait and Steph smiled and nodded as they were enjoyed the Dessert and listened to Tsuya, it was really not a surprise for her to React like this to a Proposal for her own Comfort. She made a Note in her Mind that she would send Tsuya a Gift Basket with some nice Luxury stuff for herself, even when she haves to hope That Tsuya would not simply give it away to her people.Cait; of course, it needs to be Planed and Arranged, I have a reputation to uphold that I Offer the Perfect Holidays. She smiled and enjoyed the time here on Tottori with the Leader of the Dragons, the Food was good and the Drinks were perfectly served. She was happy with the
The contract they made and just enjoyed the rest of the Evening.
Cait and Steph smiled as they had a Room for the Night, they were happy to sleep in such a Beautifull Palace. and smiled as they finished the Main Meal and the Desserts were brought to them.Steph: Arigato. I hope I didn't Butcherd this. But it is really nice of you to let us sleep here. We will make sure to Return the Favor when you Visit us.they enjoyed the Desserts as they Loved sweet things. Both of them smiled Brightly and made little happy noises as they enjoyed the food and giggled from time to time. They enjoyed the evening so much and the food was perfect.
Cait and Steph smiled and enjoyed the rest of the evening with Tsuya. After they finished their meal and gave each other a kiss they looked at Tsuya. This was a Wonderfull Evening Tsuya, thank you for this Experience. you and your People are Wonderfull and can tell you that Tourists would Love them should you take over the Planet one day. And i am sure they wont change much with a leader like you.She smiled and Finished her Dessert a cupple seconds before Steph did and they both smiled happy and full at there new Friend.
After a long day of meetings, conversations, and cuisine, Tsuya couldn't feel more relieved at the fact that the two are pleased with their visit here. It had been a great effort to get Cait and Steph to come here under the radar, and she suspects it may be a challenge to make sure the transports all go through Kusari space without any attention, but deep down she knows the deepest secrets of this realm, the paths that nobody else knows of. She lets out a small chuckle. After all, they are the keepers of secrets aged centuries long in history. She noticed the pair smiling and does the same back to them.
"I'm very pleased with what we've done. The night is still young, though, and certain folks here haven't retired to their beds just yet, friends. No, this is where the fun begins." She says just as one of the servers returns to remove the empty dishes from the tables, setting them up in a neat stack before once again exiting the isolated room. She motioned her hands in an upwards motion towards the two and stood herself up slowly, taking a moment to do some stretches as they had been sitting cross legged for quite some time. Sighing out loud, she speaks again. "If you two don't mind coming along for some more, there so happens to be a Kabuki feature tonight at the local theatre. Of course, I'd understand if you're both too tired for something like that, we'd be sitting down for a good hour or two."
She pauses to reach into her pocket and take something out. Looked to be a phone of some sort. As it's hooked to the neural net, it's able to access much of the information of the modern world despite being a more primitive form of media consumption. "I believe tonight's feature is called 'Sugawara Denju Tenarai Kagami' there. It's a tale of the ancient scholar by the name of Sugawara no Michizane who was exiled from primitive Kyoto and haunts the city after his death, becoming a vengeful spirit. Would you like to check it out?" She poses the question to them, wondering if they were truly as interested in the culture as she thought, beyond simply the food and architecture.
Cait and Steph were Exited as they Heard that the Night wasn't over, the two of them liked Culture and experiencing new things when they travel. Cait enjoyed how the Evening went so far as it Promised a Huge Financial Profit in the Future while all the Risk Lays with the Dragons. If they Manage to Conquer Tottori then Cait and Orbital could Gain a Lot of Profit, and if they Fail then She would Lose nothing that was really Important.Cait: aye we made a good deal for both sides and we will have a bright future ahead of us.She smiles at her but Steph was as always the better listener and as she heard that there is a Show of art her Face Lightens up and the listened to everything that Tsuya said. While the Business talk didn't interest her that much, she was a great lover of art and was a ballet dancer once herself.Steph: oh we would love it to see that Kabuki Feature, I love kusarian art and I never have seen one before.
The two smiled and enjoyed the rest of their Drinks before the Servants came and brought all of the Glasses and Dinnerwear back to the Kitchen for Cleaning. Cait was impressed by how professional and well-trained they were once again. She had a Perfect Evening and loved every minute of it so far. Cait: that sounds like an interesting tale that I would love to see. and to be honest it reminds me a bit of the Dragons, I mean you haunt Kusari after you were Exiled too. But of course in a Good Way. I wonder if there are any Kabuki Shows about that Story as well. Steph shakes her head and laughs as she gave Cait a loving slap on the back of her head and took her hand as they stood up to go to the Theater. Steph: what my Socially Incompetent Wife wanted to say is that we would love to see that show and Enjoy your Culture together with you.
Cait rubs the back of her head and looks at Steph with a soft shine in her eyes as she Loved her too much to be mad at her, But she would still retaliate a bit by Giving Steph a Long and deep kiss on the lips as she knew that would make her blush when it happens in front of others that she didn't know for so long.Cait: well then we don't want to miss a bit of that Kabuki Show so lead us the way Tsuya.
Internally, Tsuya felt slightly weirded out by how open they were about their relationship. She knew it was normal, but she's never really had a relationship in that way before. The feeling of romance is foreign to her heart. Setting that moment aside, she lets out a faint giggle. "I think you two are too cute for your own good sometimes. It's rare that I ever see this side of people. I'm glad I could make this romantic for you." She smiles warmly before opening the shoji doors leading back to the greater dining hall, beckoning them as she did so.
Just as they entered the castle, they left in the same manner. Through the dining hall, back down the stairs, and to the castle doors where they can finally remove the slippers they'd been wearing to keep the floor clean and put their proper shoes back on. It's become much darker than when they first arrived. Lantern posts light the pathway as they trace their steps back to the downtown area. The further they go, the more voices they can hear. Sounds of excitement, anticipation, and happiness. Cait and Steph could tell the theatre must be near, if so many people are close by.
"The theatre tends to grab the attention of many people who live here. It's become a monthly custom to put on a show for the masses. And thanks to our natural shelter and distance from our enemies, we can do this all without risking combat." The theatre comes into view at last as they round a corner to witness another marvel of architectural artwork. Much like the rest of the town, it masterfully blends tradition and modernity together to create trademark Kusarian structures, with their iconic features. A decently sized crowd is funneling into the entrance, making it seem like getting in would be somewhat difficult. "Ah, don't worry over the lines. Being who I am, there is a special booth reserved for myself and several guests. Guests like you. Let's go, shall we? It must be about to start."
Cait and Steph giggled as they were praised by Tsuya and called "too cute for your own good". They loved to be together and couldn't really live without each other. Of course, it helped that they worked in the same job and had a lot of Similar Interests. One of those was the Arts and so they followed Tsuya with excitement to the Theater.Cait: one day you find that special person that makes you happy as well Tsuya, to have someone to share your life with is the best thing that you can have. They smiled and walked with Tsuya through the Nightly Streets of the Dragon Village. It was amazing how the Atmosphere changed after the sun went down and the night came over the world.
The Lanterns created a wonderful and Warm Light that created shadows that made almost Mystical Patterns on the way. Cait and Steph loved it and enjoyed the Scenery that was almost out of a fairy tale. They loved what they saw and enjoyed the Nightly Scene. As they saw the Theater they just stopped for a couple of minutes to admire the Building and the Work that the Builders and Artists have made there.Steph: I think you must also have some Jamming Generators Running that Prevent the Electric Signature of the Village to be Detected by Scanners Right? I mean even when the Trees Give Natural Cover from the Naked Eye you must also cover the Village from Sensors and Scanners. Cait smirks and laughed as she shakes her head and looks at Steph.Cait: forgive her she likes to analyze things from a Tactical Point of View. it must be a Leftover from her time in the Rheinland Military.
She smiled as she walked with Tsuya to the VIP Boot and sit down with her while they admire the inside of the theater. it was even more Artful on the inside than it was on the outside. They loved what they saw and enjoyed the place a lot. they watched the Stage and waited for the Play to begin while they enjoyed the comfy armchairs that are in the Lounge and Enjoyed a good cup of tea that was brought to them by the Wonderfull Servants of the Theatre. Cait: I am really excited to see the Play and I have to say this Building is just Lovely. I wonder if I could Hire your People to build me a Teahouse on Curacao for Steph and me?She smiled and Sips from her Teacup as she sees how Steph's eyes lighten up with happiness as she quite likes the idea to have a little piece of Kusari at home.
As they stood and admired the structure for all its nuances, she smirked as Steph brought up the tactical questions of this settlement. "You know what they say, a magician never shows their secrets..." She wasn't ready to tell them that sort of thing just yet. Although, Steph isn't far from the mark at all. There is indeed a jamming process, but it works a little differently than simple electronic jamming. In any case, they made their way into the theatre after their moment of admiration, under a starry sky that is seldom seen due to the pollution of most planets in this day and age. On the inside, it was like stepping into a time machine. It must have been difficult to procure such natural building materials in a world of metal and madness. It seemed smaller on the outside, but on the inside, there were rows upon rows of seating, clearly made to accommodate the current and future population of the town. It was a very open place, giving the actors' voices plenty of space to boom and echo throughout the theatre.
After taking their seats in the Shogun's booth, it seems they'd made it just in time. The overhead lights for the audience had dimmed, leaving only the stage lights to focus on. It was a rather large and grand stage, just as the nature of this play demands. There are plenty of varied scenes and locations which calls for multiple sets to be stored behind the scenes. Tsuya quietly chimed in for a moment. "The play may be summarized in quite a few places to save time, as it's rather lengthy to act out. I would expect the length to be at least an hour. And this is only the first act. I should also probably tell you that I had requested this play to be done in a more accessible language, and to coincide with our meeting. Normally, it is done in our native tongue only."The curtains, colored in stripes from orange to green to black, were gradually pulled open by a person walking across the stage with their hand tightly gripping the fabric. The scene was unveiled, appearing to begin in what looked to be a grandiose, traditional Kusarian palace. Fit for an emperor, even. The actors were already in place and set the plot into motion.
Steph laughs and nods as she had not expected Tsuya to tell her how they keep the Village hidden from Scanners and Orbital Cameras. She knew that the Dragons would not take any risks with their people on this planet and protect them. She was sure that they had something in the back of their hands. But she was sure that she would not get an answer to her Curiosity. But that was ok for her as she was happy to enjoy an Original Kusarian Theatre show. She had heard a lot about the Play but was never able to see it herself performed by Kusarian Artists.Steph: oh I would love to have this kind of Culture on Curacao, or maybe the Hawaii? I think we should Hire a Kusarian Artist Groupe, it could be a good experience for our guests. Cait smiled and made a Mental Note to hire some for Curacao to make her wife happy. that it would bring some extra Tourists to Curacao would be a nice benefit to it, but to make her wife happy would be the best thing about it. She smiled and watched how the theater was filled with the Towns People. The atmosphere was happy and the people were excited about the play that would start soon. she could hear laughter and friendly chatter between the people and she could almost feel what an important Event these weekly plays are for the Citizens of the Village.
They smiled as the light was dimmed and the play begins, Both Cait and Steph looked at the Stage with the Exited sparkle of Fangirls in their eyes. They smiled at Tsuya as they were thankful that they would use a more Widely known Kusarian Dialect, Cait and Steph were Fluent in the common Kusarian but not in the more Localized Dialects. Cait: Arigato Tsuya this was very kind of you, I hope your Citizens don't mind this change? The Play was really good and the Actors were top Class Professionals that really brought the Play to Life and makes the scenes Colorful and Exiteing for the Guests to watch. The Actors knew how to get the attention of the Guests and captivate their attention to the stage. And they also Captured the Attention of Steph and Cait and made their eyes glued to the Stage. The Setpiece that the Artists Created was so Colorful and looked lifelike as if it was not a Setpiece but the Real World that came to support the Play. Cait and Steph watched the whole First Act of the Play without even looking away for one time. They only looked at Tsuya as the Curtains closed for the First Scene of the Act so that the Setpiece can be changed. Steph: this play is so good, I can't wait to know how it will continue. Your People are such good Actors and Artists. I am so happy to be here today and see this Play.Cait smiled and nodded as she Sips from her tea and waits excitedly for the Play to Continue and takes Stephs hand to hold it and give her a loveing kiss like she would do with an Princess.
"Well, we'd have to see what they'd think. And no, these days it is very common to use generalized dialect for folks like you. Everyone knows it as a Kusarian, so it makes little difference to us." Tsuya had said in response to their questions prior to the beginning of the play.
The first act comes to a close. Kan Shojo passes down the secrets of his calligraphy skills to his former disciple Genzo, who was exiled for romancing Tonami, the court's lady in waiting. Afterwards, the emperor had summoned him but unfortunately for Shojo, he had lost his hat which is a sign of bad things to come. Shihei, the antagonist of this story, accuses Shojo of attempting to seize power by marrying Prince Tokiyo with Kariya, a commoner who was adopted into the imperial court. Because of this, he is exiled as well, forced to leave for Dazaifu, an ancient town of Kusarian ancestors which was frequently used to exile courtiers to. Before any more disaster could strike, though, Genzo and Tonami rescue Shojo's son, Kan Shusai, to protect him from any further schemes by Shihei.
As the curtains are drawn over the stage once more to signify the end of Act 1, one can hear the noises of the stage changing. The movement of sets, footsteps of people, mutterings under their breath... Without the music to go along, it was all more audible than usual. Perhaps the echo of the building has something to do with it. Before long, though, the curtains are pulled away once more, revealing the first scene of the second act, where most performances of this play end. Kabuki is never done all in one night, it is segmented. The opening reveals a temple, host to a religion long lost to time, no longer known by the wider population of Sirius, known as Buddhism. Kan Shojo appears to be waiting for his escort to Dazaifu, while Kariya, her older sister Tatsuta, and her mother Kakuju live near the temple. An argument between them seems to be happening in which Kakuju is scolding and punishing Kariya, blaming their affair with prince Tokiyo for Shojo's exile.
Tsuya has remained silent the whole time, lightly resting her hand on her chin. She's seen this play before, and doesn't want to spoil anything for Cait and Steph.
Cait and Steph watched the Stage with great excitement they have never seen this play and everything was new and fresh for them. Both Women had hold each other's hands during the whole first act of the play and followed every move that the Actors made on the Stage. They loved the play, and even when the story was several Hundred years old they had the feeling as if it was just happening here and now before their eyes.Cait: your People are really good actors, I have rarely seen anyone being that good.Steph smiled at them while the Stage was Changed and the Scene was set for the next play that was to come. She was so happy about it and enjoyed the time with Cait and her new Friend Tsuya.Steph: well Cait and I speak Basic Kusari so we thank you that you do this Pice in Basic Kusarian for us.She sips her tea and Cait gives her Wife a Loving kiss on the cheeks while they waited for the play to Continue. what had started as a Business Tripp had now turned into a Holiday Experience where they could learn a lot new about the Kusarian Culture that both of them loved so much.
In the Second Act, they could see how the Play continued and the Actors Played the argument. They Loved how Lifelike they made the play look and feel like it was Reality and not just a Script that they have learned. Cait and Steph were fascinated and looked at the Stage with Fascination. The scene of the temple reminded her of some that she had seen throughout Kusari, but it was also different than the ones that she have seen in the Modern Kusari. the Set pice looked more ancient than the current temples. Cait could feel with Kariya as she also once was punished by her family for a Forbidden Affair and had to endure the Consequences for something that others have seen as not allowed. Cait knew that it was just a Play but the Face of the Actress showed real Emotions and she played her Role with a Level of Dedication that Cait Admire a lot. Cait took Steph's Hand and holds her as she Needed that contact to drive back some old bad Memories in her mind of a similar Situation between herself and her Mother.
Cait and Steph siped from their Tea from Time to Time and enjoyed the Play together with Tsuya and waited for what comes next.
