"I understand," he replied. "We all have someone to answer to and ultimately, it is her choice."
He sat back. As to the medical aspect, there was little else that could be discussed until a meeting could be arranged. At this point, the ball was in the court of Lady Mariko. Until then, he just wanted her company.
"I am a little lost," he chuckled. He was still trying to get to know her more and keep a professional atmosphere even if he did find her attractive. He quickly shifted mental gears from the thought. "So do the Chrysanthemums require anything else medically?"
"I will sit down with Emiko and the others to see what they want first." she replied. "And ofcourse with the rest of the Council. Perhaps I could possibly even set up a meeting."
Mistaking his feelings for unease, she misinterpreted him and dropped the subject about the training for now.
"Basic medical supplies are always welcome. It is no secret that most of our supplies are obtained through 'illegal' means, for whatever that connotation is worth. Maybe stuff to outfit a medical wing on something the size of a cruiser. That would be very beneficial to us right now."

"A medical cruiser," he thought out loud as he tapped his finger on the desk. As he tapped he looked slightly skyward to the right and then to the left in obvious thought. He then began to nod as he had done the same years ago. He then returned his look to Mariko with a slight grin, a grin that grew larger. It was obvious he was up to something.
"You want to outfit a medical cruiser? I will help you do just that. I have outfitted two Corvo class cruisers, one dreadnaught and we keep them supplied. Pharmaceuticals of all types, elixers, med stasis bands and prometheum for nuclear medicine are but a few. Yes, I can set you up beautifully on this. Just remember, some of what you will have to keep on board may be questionable to some but in medicine, that is but a small price to pay. I get a lot of sideways looks because we keep a small supply of cardamine on our ships for those dependent upon it and in controlled us, hypno-tainment bands can substitute for anesthesia. In fact, we find medical use for a lot of things most people do not think about."
He sipped his drink. "Of course, you would need some trained medical personnel to update your staff which we can also provide."
He then sat back, still smiling. "You know, you could just give Med Force Enterprises that contract. Is this something of worth to you?"
His smile grew bigger as he waited her answer.
"Not a medical cruiser. A cruiser with medical facilities on board to act as a mobile base of operations. What I am talking about is a seperate room or section for emergency medical procedures out in the field. It will still need to have enough room to fulfill its other functions."
She used her fingers on the table to indicate what she meant.
"If this is the ship." she drew out an imaginary line. "Then this section here, to the rear starboard section of the ship will have room for the medical equipment I meant. It might be smaller than your anticipated, but we work with what we have. "
Mariko moved her hands away and picked up her sake to take a sip.
"I guess you are excited about the prospect. How about you give me the details for the official channels and I will let the higher ups take it up with you?"

He just looked at Mariko and bobbed his head in confidence. "All right then." Getting on his feet, he went over to Mariko and extended his hand to assist her to her feet. "With your approval of course, Lady. My datapad does not have the signal strength for what I am about to do. Perhaps you would like to join me for a few minutes while I get this started?"
He waited as she got to her feet. Saki was strong stuff and he was feeling it a little. A few credits to the bartender got him a private com. Once there, he inserted a chipset.
"I do not use this one often," he said, "a gift from a Lane Hacker many years back so it is traceable only for the recipients which will be you and the sisterhood."
With that, he began his com which took less than a minute to created, ideal when one wanted anonymity. Once done, he pulled the chipset and returned to escorting Mariko back to their table.
Once he sat down, he checked his datapad and smiled as he handed it to Mariko. "Message received my Lady. Now we wait"
"Another drink while we continue?"
"Nice little tool. Must be similar to our own datapads. I guess the higher ups will take it from there. I will verify that I refered you to them if anyone comes to me for questions"
She looked at the empty sake glass and judged that she had enough for now.
"So how long do you intend to stay at Noshima? I think you mentioned you were just passing though at the time."

"Similar but different," he answered of the datapad. "It is of a standard design but with a different chipset. I will admit, for my wizardry in medicine, I am lacking much of that in engineering hence why I hired one who is good at that stuff. He works and lives on Med Force One."
He then sighed and softly smiled. He too had his limit in Saki. Her company made him feel at ease. "So how long do you intend to stay at Noshima? I think you mentioned you were just passing though at the time."
"I am not sure," he responded with a light shrug. "I have a load of pharmaceuticals of all types that will be split between our Baffin hospital and eventually Freeport 5 or I can wait to see if your sisters reply and re-route them."
He then gently drummed the fingers of his right hand on the table. "I DO enjoy your company, Miss, but I do know that you are busy and do not want to cut into your time more than I have."

"Freeport 5 is in Omega 41, a vary radiated system so I have a lot of anti-radiation pills for the crews there," he explained. "It is hostile territory as the Corsairs, Red Hessians and Bounty Hunters all fight there battles out there. If you lose, well, you will die in space. Not all of my pharmaceutical cargo is anti-rad pills. I also have a good stash of pain killers and anti-biotics."
He listened as she spoke of beneficial arrangements between their people. He nodded his agreement. "In principle, we have one. It is just a matter of if Miss Sato accepts..."
His data pad vibrated. He put on his glasses to read it.
"Miss Mariko," he said, "it looks like someone has replied." He then showed her hisdatapad.
He smiled. "Things are looking up."
"That explains why didn't know its location. It isn't a place I typically visit. Seems like a dangerous area. I can't say any of those factions would enjoy my presence very much."
She smiled after reading the message.
"Seems like my idea wasn't so terrible after all. I guess we both have work to do now. Speaking off, if you happen to be around during the MFE Cruiser deal, please let me know and ill be there aswell if I am able, to smoothe things out."
