Have process of communication of story with OF leaders instead of ad-hoc buddy system in place now.
Include system changes in Patch Notes.
Tweak missions - solo missions now are too hard, besides Tamigin we lost solo missions grinders.
Focus development and big changes on unused systems and bases, based on server side stats of what is used rather than messing with areas people actively are using because I feel like it or my faction will benefit from it - the job of staff should be to facilitate people's experience in-game and keep up activity first and foremost. Change priority should always be on systems and factions that trail in activity in the long run to make them more attractive.
Faster staff turnover - kick Ramke from Admin team as well as inactive mods, take on enthusiastic people, we know they applied.
First and foremost, I would like to see the swear filter re-introduced. While I am sure everyone I talk to is aware that I swear like a sailor and worse on Discord, I don't in-game. I much preferred when we saw creative insults thrown both sides instead of the usual basic "fuck off" etc. Or well, at least I'd like to see such basic swearing being used a lot less.
Pobs need to be reworked. New players or even old players keep creating POBs, sometimes cluttering systems with them (New York and New London come to mind immediately.) It's a little bit silly when a POB can be built, fully supplied until it's full HP and then it will decay for 6 months if it's not shot. I'd much prefer if POBs were a rare thing to see which acted as an extreme money sink so only factions that combine their efforts could afford them at the very least.
Systems need to be smaller or at least more packed. Currently, there are too many systems that act as nothing more than corridors for increasing travel distance without anything particularly meaningful in them. Coronado comes to mind, while I like the system, the 85k cruise from Barrier Gate to Inverness seems like an excessive amount of distance.
This may or may not be a hot take, I do not actually care. I would like if capital ship cruise speeds were increased and they were not allowed to use Trade Lanes. It's somewhat funny but in a very "I don't like this" kind of way when I see 5 lib carriers or any other type of large-cap try and interact with trade lanes and then get stuck or wobble like they weigh nothing. This idea also would make me want to dock on a carrier for taxi services to drive my snub into battle.
I already told this to Groshyr and I think Skorak is doing a good job of this, but, I would like to see an increase in storytelling without words. I'd like more atmospheric systems like Zeta or Kepler for that matter, even if Kepler feels a bit overdone overall.
Bounty Hunting needs to be way more streamlined. Currently, the process of this tedious "paperwork" rp is not really worth the hassle of trying to hunt down people, rp with them, and then kill them only to write unnecessary (however short or long) rp just to get your 2-4 million s.c. BHG ID NEEDS the same time of plugin that is used in events for claiming kills. I know that I would personally fly BHG a lot more if I were guaranteed a payout for the effort that I can also then boost by claiming on forums if I can be bothered (I can't.)
Trading. Everyone knows it's awfully dull. It needs to be reworked. The closest thing to a fun trade route was Slappy's cardamine trade route based on vanilla infocards. The usual A to B trading is terrible. I cannot imagine anything more boring than actually trading for hours.
This kind of ties in with the point above. Kind of. Smuggling sucks. It blows large amounts of brown starfish. It is not NEARLY profitable enough to make sense to do it. The risk is higher than the reward. Not so much nowadays due to low pop at times though, but I digress. I'd like to see it buffed and also wish it was more cut-throat between players. Pirates stealing from pirates to make big stonks for free by getting the other player's cargo one way or another.
I can probably think of more things but i am a tired boy who has not slept enough today ):
Create a team of developers and admins. I shouldn't be working alone, right? Would bring back the [Angels] faction and make it mandatory for every Discovery moderator. Well, and I would make the role of lead developer, which would guarantee the absolute power for the whole game.
Remove Zoner capital ships. Return the faction to the form when they were mere outcasts in the outer worlds, rather than some semblance of an independent military force whose reason for existence is simply non-existent.
Bring back the old system in which each official event offered consequences for both sides if they won or lost, but did not guarantee the removal of one side no matter how hard it tried.
Bring back some of the old systems. Quite a lot of it, since the research element is generally irrelevant these days, and everything relies on "where to make more activity" rather than "how to create a constant number of active players and increase it".
Remove all official factions that are not direct extensions of NPC factions. That is, instead of the 46 and 5 Fleet, I would leave only the [LN]. That said, I would make a direct link between the unofficial factions and the official factions, where the unofficial ones would be sub-factions and give activity to the official ones. Set a total control by the Administration of the server on the activities of the official faction. That is, if there is a wrong leader in the official faction, and people ask for his removal - the Administrator would have to do it.
Allow players to influence the political situation in Discovery and dictate history on their own, while the developers determine the consequences of such actions (i.e. stupid actions would be punished, smart actions would be encouraged). I would also make it mandatory for every history dev to read Wikipedia and learn how each political system works.
Allow military IDs to have a full ZOI on a hostile House in the event of a war between them (rather than on some portion of the systems).
Remove the police faction in any House, displaying it only as a fleet structure iRP (as it is now in GN with the Gendarmerie).
Remove Wild pawn ID or make individual ones for each Houses.
Remove the silly rule that transport ships without CDs cannot be attacked.
Return old SNAC-balance.

This works only because the very definition of Gendarmerie is enlisted military personnel and it fits with the Union lore (and French custom). If you do this anywhere else, you are straigh up deleting the police concept, and because of lore importance it's not even possible with LPI.
My suggestion is - what happened to the unique Police transports and other things suggested like a year ago ?
