Yea, I was the Rhino with the mining setup buzzing around. But I did get a video of the battle and a screenshot that could have been a lot better.
This is something I've thought about doing for awhile and played around with here and there. How interested is the community in videographers doing recordings and screenshots like this? What about a possible news service that is an actual news service that comes with recordings, screenshots, and interviews?

Had a similar notion, but the thing is, actual headline worthy happenings here are few and far between. This is a rare thing that probably won't last. Plus I'm not sure why they keep attacking during the day, if they really wanted to do some damage, they'd come back when it's quiet and make them work to mount a defense.
I see it as ironic since similar things would be happening all the time in other similar places if it was allowed and work was put into making it all go down. It would be much better to see real events develop that are worth reading about. It makes you want to go get online and check it out, maybe find a way to get involved. A feeling that would spread if we had more options for factions to actually do stuff to other factions via the actual game.

I mean, that wasn't the point of the question. Just answer yes or no, man.
Plus, using a bald attempt to siege Long Island Station to create activity is cool. Using it to make a point and pull the leg of the community/staff out of it, much less. As ephemere as it can be, it still feels good to see that much activity, it doesn't matter from who the idea came from, or who took part in the fight.
And to answer Racerdude, I'll follow Toaster's reply, yes, that's free promotion for the mod. It'd be great, man.

Oh yeah I totally support it, just wishing that stuff like that happened more often. There could have been battles like that the whole time out in Texas, Kansas and Vespucci each time one of those stations was up for being cut. And if they held out, I'd say, let them keep them. Same goes with Veracruz. The whole thing could be driving up activity all the time. Real situations worth caring about!
