Hi there. If you know me, then you know I'm quite the prolific writer. I tend to write quite a few stories that often don't go anywhere. This post is to showcase those stories and characters that I am actively working on and are going somewhere. Feedback is welcomed.
Characters & Related Stories/Logs
Dr. Sailas Montgomery
Sailas's past is an enigma wrapped in mystery. There have been hints that his origins have been in the less legal areas of Bretonia, however the data trail on his identity begins on Planet Cambridge where he studied advanced physics as well as hyperspatial theory. There, he learned of the anomalies popping up in certain systems and went to investigate. It was around this time that Bretonia had attempted to annex Planet Gran Canaria from the Zoners by force occupation.
Disgusted with this, Sailas finished his studies at Cambridge and left for the Taus where he discovered a run down station near the anomaly in Tau-23 and managed to get it back up and operational. At the same time, he founded Starlight Research Consortium which he now runs alongside other Zoner scientists seeking to unwrap the mysteries in our home.
Dr. Rose Emery
Rose is a recent graduate of Cambridge University who sought out Dr. Montgomery for his theories on Baxter Anomalies...also because Sailas is her father. However, that last part not a lot of people know.
She is a prodigy in advanced theoretical hyperspatial mathematics, graduated summa cum laude from her class and obtaining a doctorate by age 23, and considered to be a prodigy in her field. She often times would act very carefree during her tenure at SLRC and loved learning new things. However, since SLRC's accidental trip to the ruined Alberta system and hear near death encounter there while commanding the SLRC-HV>Dreamscape, she has subsided in her usually carefree manner and has become far more professional in recent months.
Every now and then, though, you will see the young woman fascinated by the universe around her peeking around that newly professional demeanor.
The truth about Jadyn's past would be hard to believe to the casual observer, if not written off as fantasy. According to records, he died 12 years ago due to a drug deal gone wrong on Planet Leeds. However, two years later he reappeared under strange circumstances along with an organization known as the Freedom Fighters. A string of attacks, murders, and collateral damage occurred shortly thereafter leading to the death of a Liberty Congressman and several million credits worth of property damage in civilian and military infrastructure. No sooner after, the group known as the Freedom Fighters disbanded, and the man known as Sayne Jadyn vanished along with them.
The truth is, he and the Freedom Fighters had arrived from another universe //another mod via the use of advanced alien technology from a race known as the Zeta. He had followed the Freedom Fighters from a place they referred to as the "Shattered Universe" where the laws of physics had been turned on their head. They had done this twice, eventually settling on this Universe where the laws of physics appeared to be more stable than their previous homes. This is where things get a little confusing.
Sayne had been following the Freedom Fighters since their origin universe to get revenge on an Admiral Marcus "Scarecrow" Scarman for giving an order during a war involving Bretonia that caused the deaths of his friends and loved ones. He also sought payback for them enlisting him in an experimental program known as Sadukr and Farenheight Alpha Zero where he was conditioned to feel no pain or remorse along with dangerous implants that muted his emotions and pain even further in the face of dangerous missions.
He swore revenge and had been following them each time they jumped in order to get his vengeance. Additionally, the Freedom Fighters had made another enemy in the previous universe who was an alternate version of Marcus Scarman, referred to as the King of the Black Flag Corsairs. Sayne and this alternate version forged a shaky alliance to get their revenge so long as Sayne was allowed to kill Admiral Scarman.
The resulting alliance and destruction caused the death of this universes version of Marcus Scarman, a Congressman in Liberty, his wife, and scarring their young daughter for life due to witnessing her parents death by the hands of a man who looked like her own father. Sayne was horrified at what had transpired and killed the Black Flag version of Scarman himself, saving the young girl. It was at this time that Sayne realized the path he had taken for revenge. He buried the hatchet with Scarman and left to pursue his own goals.
Ten years later, a Bounty Hunters Guild organization was noted to have formed in Manchester, headed by an individual named Jadyn Giles, callsign Grimwolfe. Often times he has been seen throwing himself into impossible missions that no one should be able to survive. The running theory from his other BHG contacts is he is intentionally trying to die. Perhaps due to his involvement in the deaths of the Congressman and his wife and for scarring the young girl for life. Recently, he appears to have disbanded his organization with the Guild and has taken up the mantle of a Freelancer. He has recently been sighted in the Taus offering assistance with tasks as a Freelancer. Conversations with him have been reported as outright odd; almost as if he lacks emotion or remorse for anything he talks about or does. It could be his implants are malfunctioning or he is still trying to die as recompense for what he has done. Whatever the case, approaching him is advised with an abundance of caution, as you never know what he might be up to.
Character Note:Many of these stories were written a very long time ago and during a time when I was still young. Meaning the quality may not be up to par and posts may be missing from that era due to time. Additionally, his background was not written willy nilly. This stuff was actually written about him and goes as far back as 2005 on other Freelancer mods at the time.
Jenna "Frostbyte" Hawthorne (Formerly RTRN-NULL)
Jenna was once known as RTRN-NULL. For a long time this was the handle she went by until a mysterious shadow organization recruited her and her ship to function as an intelligence gathering apparatus. However, in recent months, this group has gone silent, leaving her stranded without her ship, the CROATOAN, as well as without any evidence as to where they disappeared to. Many of her former contacts in the group have dried up, leaving her high and dry. Since then, she has taken on a new handle: Frostbyte.
Raised as a Junker, she quickly outgrew the environment she was raised in and went out on her own to explore the cosmos. While she may look young to a discerning eye, she is anything but naïve. Considered an engineering genius from a young age, she quickly branched out into other fields such as computer science and networks. However, her desire to learn more about the universe around her lead her to being forced out of the Junkers for endangering others lives with her reckless experiments. In order to fund her desire for learning new things, she began hacking others and blackmailing them for their resources. She also ran a quite profitable smuggling ring for some time which is rumored to still exist somewhere in Liberty space.
With the disappearance of the enigmatic organization she once belonged to, she has once again returned to the Junkers. Using her skills as a hacker, she took over the abandoned Beaumont Spire in Texas to use as her headquarters and home. What that means for the future is anyone's guess.

Great story, by the way, Leo. I am a big fan of Junkers that play their role accordingly.
