Tau-31 - Ever since the establishment of the blockade imposed upon the Gallic state, the Bretonian Armed Forces have sought to gain closer ties with the Kusari Naval Forces leadership in a move to secure a possible future alliance. With the Nomad incursion into Orkney proper, such an opportunity did not take long to be utilized by the Admiral Sommerville, a figure which has long-awaited the chance to strike once more into the Union's territory. Despite limited progress on the battlefield itself, both militaries swiftly moved in to remove the majority of the resistance pockets in the Orkney system, with Gallic Navy forces reportedly forming a defensive line near the Languedoc Jump Gate and with only the Sisteron putting up a token resistance against the joint Bretonia - Kusari operation, yet succeeding in holding a perimeter around Planet Eday. Much alike the previous operation in January, the government has refused to comment on the attempt to destabilize the Gallic state further. Marking the first time the navies of both states worked together in battle, the expected military alliance will further allow Bretonia to influence the Colonies, in particular Rheinland, to pursue an anti-Gallia foreign policy to isolate the nation completely. On the Vespucci front, in an unexpected counteroffensive lead by the remnants of the Insurgency Navy, Battlegroup Delware has been destroyed, with all units reported as lost in the skirmish. While the move has caused even more unrest within Liberty, and with the Armed Forces continuing the collaboration with the Liberty Navy, sources within the Bretonian Government have reported that the loss represents a "changing point" and that the decision of the Liberty Navy to drag the Kingdom into its battle against internal rebellions will have "serious repercussions should they not cease attempts to manipulate the Crown". The Admiralty has not provided any comments on this recent development in the Independent Worlds, however it is expected that the Armed Forces will attempt to secure more support within the goverment, in particular towards the planned upgrades of the warships with more modern technology, as well as for applying more pressure towards the neighboring states for the Crown's benefit. In anthesis with the actions of the Liberty Navy in Vespucci, the Crayter Republic has continued to assist humanitarian convoys from the system, even with reports arriving of Technocrat vessels attempting to attack such groups of refugee vessels. Her Majesty's Goverment has secured an agreement with the Coronado-based state in a move to bring back all refugees evacuated from Veracruz in a repatriation programme set to begin next month.
