Scientists studying the Walker Nebula have concluded that the Omega-3 and 7 systems are too unstable to allow passage in the following days. As a precaution, the Rheinwehr, MND and Rheinland Police representatives have announced they will be enforcing a no-fly zone in the systems for Bretonian combat vessels for their own protection, as well as increasing patrols and making sure all laws of Rheinland are adhered to and to turn away criminals from the dangerous systems and prevent a potential disaster.
Preliminary research suggests that Xenobiotic Filters and Terraforming Gases are particularly high risk commodities that could cause reaction with the dangerous Nebula gases, and will be treated as contraband for the foreseeable future in the systems but also in Rheinland at large with fines issues as well as escorts assigned to vessels carrying said commodities.
The Rheinwehr has called the accusations that Rheinland has fabricated these scientific findings in order to slowdown Bretonia's stronghold over Planet Sprague and Liberty's pace of terraforming Atka as unfounded. Admiral Alexander Arnold announced in a press release:
"This is preposterous to say the least. We value and wish the best to our Libertonian and Bretonian partners. This is a mere precaution intended for everyone's safety in the region, and we expect everyone to follow the rules we have set."
Rheinwehr safeguards the region
In the day since the announcement the Rheinwehr has dutifully notified traders of the ongoing dangers and restrictions. Kaiserliche Rheinwehr alone has inspected tens of traders and so far issued lenient fines along with educating the haulers in the region.
The presence of Rheinland's forces and foreign criminals lead to some confusion and chaos amidst the current turbulent volatility and low visibility of the Walker nebula in Omega-7, with unconfirmed reports of military vessels exchanging fire.
The Rheinwehr urges all traders to adhere to the no-fly zone and restricted cargo rules as it may take several days before the situation calms down and the region becomes safe again.
In a clarification we have obtained a statement from Admiral Alexander Arnold regarding the practical enforcement of the no-fly zone and restrictions in the entirety of the Omega-3 system: "The Rheinwehr has focused on Omega-7, Rheinland and in a limited manner on the secured space around Rugen Station in Omega-3 as per the Rugen Accords in enforcing no-fly zones, directing traffic and educating haulers. Bretonian Armed Forces were advised of the dangers of Xenobiotic Filters and Terraforming Gases, but it may take several days before the situation calms down in-field after I will personally arrive to the Omega-7 system."
