My name is Helios Eparchos, and I have been formally appointed to represent on behalf of the Custodi's Archon the matters from which a diplomatic arrangement can be made.
First of all, the Custodi has always sought to seek ties with other parties such as yours. What I am concerning is, however, the number of unfortunate incidents we had to bear with that still linger on after many years. Despite our diminished role compared to other Corsair groups such as the Brotherhood or the Deterrence, as we have been keeping our affairs mostly to the preservation of ancient Custodian culture, centered at our home city called Heraklion, we still want to negotiate with yours regarding a possible course of action.
The Custodi has always resolved to challenge the stereotypical notion of "blood-thirsty pirates" so found among the general public's view of us and the Corsairs as a whole. We still engage in the artifact trade, either directly by us or via Hogosha intermediaries, and we are more than capable of handling various threats that your people may face as we have done for years in our home system. If we can reach an agreement regarding the normalization of relations between the Custodi and the Kusari Empire, then it will certainly be a benefit for both of us.
In addition, the Custodi has always sought to ensure the people of planet Crete are provided with high-quality food, especially the Kusarian variety of rice native to Planet Kyushu. For this we thank the cooperation of Samura which has proven to be an invaluable asset for the lives of many who would otherwise starve to death. In return, the Custodi wants to offer something that may benefit the Kusarian people.

Helios Eparchos.
It appears as if the prematurely conducted broadcast by the Brotherhood reached every corner and every stream within the Cretan Empire.
Our archives speak of talks between members of the state authorities and the Custodi in the past, addressing your intention already years ago.
Naturally, you as a diminished player in Crete's political landscape know very well about the ups and downs of power within your society. Such pose a risk to any formalised deal between the Empire of Kusari and the people of Crete.
We have already reached out to the representatives of the Detterence Conclave and the Brotherhood to organise a joint summit, in hope to witness a streamlined approach by the people of Crete towards their stance on Kusari. We are hereby formally inviting Custodi representatives to participate as well. No exact date or location was settled on so far and you can expect a message adressed at all parties shortly.
