they dont. they just use the same alchemy effect. its just visual to say when its fired off the cd aoe
If you try cloaking within its range it wont let you cloak either. I guess I admit I never tried to move through it already cloaked, but assumed it's the same. Seems useful for important points of a route, if placed by a jumphole or jumpgate, it would prevent cloaked ships from jumping in undetected, and from cruising away. Very useful near capital planets and POB's as well I figure. Cool idea, just needs to be buildable and earnable!

People, be they normal players or devs, just want to have factions with limits set in place so we don't end up with another Liberty plot armor nonsense story arc.
The Core's organization, however, is hardly of relevance to the matter at hand. The point is, Core as a player faction is virtually non-existing anymore and same can be applied to Nomads. That is the answer(s) to Vito's questions.
In no sentence have i mentioned Core deleted, i merely mentioned that every idea we came with got pissed on, even by some people who benefited from the faction being active and actually accomplishing things. Either it wasn't good enough, or it just didn't suit the circlejerks' standards so it had to go down yes or yes. The fact we tried to make a PMC since the early days of it, later on turned into a fuggin empire (i had no idea cause i had to deal with rl stuff), then another PMC attempt with 51% of it's shares basically owned by SOME LIBERTY CORP (the irony is strong in this one), makes everything it stood for when it first separated from the BHG, seem worthless.
now the delete core that you're telling me about roots from elsewhere, from Core being the most active faction in the omicrons, to gank squads going back and forth against each other, to Lyth expanding the damn zoi until it went wayy too far. I could sit and explain to you every bit, but what do you care? Like everyone else, enjoys and mourns a dead faction now.

Alright so they could put a cloak cd on it and it could forcfully reveal already cloaked ships. My point is, that would be something useful to a lot of factions if buildable, and counterable (destroyable). Its been too long since we had new stuff like that.

Core should be able to attack order bases, even siege any non capital bases/planets the Order own. Cant remember if they control more than Akabat. At this point, who cares if one faction loses control of most of its bases to a rival, except a capital base or command HQ type of main base. That would be worst case of no players playing for them. I'd let Core try to capture Akabat all they want, at worst the order can keep a secret HQ like Alexandria black site since its inrp hidden.
I could care less if either the Order or Core came to finally dominate the other (especially via in game activity). Its already dead here for them, they should be able to attack each other's positions at any time. At least the process would livin things up for a while. and who should get a siege attempt? and how often? just use a simple system where they can earn them and ensure they are fairly accessible to every faction. Then we'd see some naturally forming hotspots.
As fas as I beleieve, the Core would likley have Mu blockaded by now. Maybe even Akabat itself. Or the Outcasts would have taken Akabat and Core could be fighting them over it. without the ability to do this by player factions, they get no real purpose, and no wonder its a fact they're dead factions. Nothing is being done about it sadly, as the most logical thing to do is avoided.
