As some of you know i am new in Discovery but Freelancer isnt new to me, i know that game very well.
One thing that i began to do was putting waypoints in nebulas and asteroid belts to have bases and jump gates referenced in my nav map (I flied to the waypoints and cover a large area each time).
Anyway i began in the newbie system where everyone begin.
I found the kansas jump gate.
In kansas, i noticed a nebulae was situated below "altitude level" : what i mean is that the waypoints i putted for that nebulae couldnt reach it because the nebulae was "below".
Anyway i navigated blindly to it and found an unknow jump gate (see screenshots).
So i docked, and i noticed a beautiful effect to the warp.
Anyway, then i got transport to an unknow system where there was radiation level everywhere.
So i decided to travel and get things referenced in my nav map.
After flying a bit i noticed with horror that everything i saw (planets, and the jump gate) wasnt referenced in my nav map so i decided to go back to the jump gate where i thougth it originally was.
And it was even harder because the gate was in a nebula with asteroid fields, visibility low.
But then i found it.
Then, when i tried to dock, it refused, it just says its not allowed.
Anyway i concluded that it was some joke from the developper because, with the radiation, your ship cant survive long and you die and respawn to a station.
I had nanobots of course but i travelled a bit in the system and found nothing, its just some kind of easter egg?
Are there any people who discovered that too? Me, I found nothing there, but the system is very pretty.
See the screenshots.
So what is so special about that unknow system?
The effect in the jump is the nomad jumpgate effect. The system itself does in fact have a way out and something else too. You just gotta discover it. Its not a dead end system. I don't want to spoil the joys of discovery hence nothing too concrete.

What's so special about it? The Shrine system was basically where Morphs were made - well that was the last headcanon, and the Shrine is regarded as a sacred site, sometimes calls out to visitors who get converted to a more mystique way of peace. There are some infocards in the bar but they're horribly outdated. The area around it is usually regarded as a no fire area, sometimes you'll find that you can probably RP with nomads there due to that respect. It's just basically a giant relic.
Or people kind of do whatever they want anyway, despite the background.

Before, the Nomad NPC faction wasn't free to play. People had to basically play as a 'baby nomad' and prove they can RP before getting accepted into the official groups.
Quote:The Nomads are sentient biological machines left over from a highly advanced alien race known as the "Daam K'vosh". The Daam K'vosh had intended to let the Nomads develop and colonise Sirius, but the human arrival disrupted this. The humans have taken many secrets which were left behind for the Nomads: Trade lanes, Jump gates, Cruise engines, Cardamine longevity. The Nomads can subvert humans by infesting their bodies.
This Alien ID is used by Nomads, who:
- Can attack any ship to protect Nomads.
- Cannot use any ship other than the Nomad Light Fighter.
It was a light fighter that couldn't do anything but defend itself. No one tends to fly them these days due to Nomads being open now.
