PvPers tend not to be traders, so they always look for easy money.
Just food for thought.
^ This.
Pay someone to give a sh*t about it and someone may show up, you loose nothing for trying. Local official factions can help you sponsor temporary bounties as well.
What do POBs actually contribute to the server besides artificially inflated activity and lag? 80 million complaint threads? Locking down certain areas of public space harder than the most secret of military testing grounds? Silent traders who care only about how many shipments they can squeeze in per week to keep their do-nothing trophy alive? Just go ahead and get rid of them. Yea the server number will be halved but those people never intended on interacting with anyone anyways.

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about, as bases don't fire even at hostiles anymore unless you actively start hitting them. Traders are building these bases to allow people to purchase equipment and ***** like sci-data, and once those players are gone it's gonna be a circlejerk of the same 10 guys cannibalizing each other because they won't have who to pirate or PVP anymore.

Umm - I don't know where else to buy ore or equipment. I also sold a lot of sci data, got batteries from bases. I'm a total noob mind you, like that base in 11 is where I got diamonds when I was lost and flying about trying stuff to haul on my 5ker
Also bases
A) Decay 12x faster unattended - like half died naturally
B) Can't shoot hostiles without being actually attacked.
Core 3 + should have been classified as transports for at least high cores for sieging purposes when these changes were made.

I wasn't around for that siege, too burnt out to look up the posts (Meg can step in)

Attempted RP and failed to comply

Requested the owner place a request to move it and did not

Did you not read the posts after?

So it's wrong for GC to siege a base for oorp reasons that Couden owns it (unconfirmed) but it's okay for you to do it?
(07-12-2023, 09:59 PM)Kanzler Niemann Wrote: I also find it amusing that people claim that the sieging party has not attempted to RP before the siege and it always comes into my mind, have you?
I don't find it amusing, I find it a trend. Have you considered that if multiple people are telling you the same thing, it might be something to look into?

I suggest you revisit the "incident". The base was never rejected, our request was never even answered after several boosts. The base was planted anyway and within 24 hours a siege declaration was submitted. The people involved would surprise you as it involved staff members too. Let that sink in... somebody's actions were so toxic that even staff members pitched in to help because one person wants to rope off a segment of Sirius.
Swing and a miss.
