I figured I'd check out Discovery again. The last time I checked it out was around when it got an award on ModDB, and that was just to fly around and kind of check out what got added. I got it successfully installed and set up, but the UI issues make it unplayable.
Either it's in windowed mode with everything scaled correctly (although the main menu buttons are offset from where they actually get highlighted) though the mouse gets all screwed up, or it's in fullscreen and the font is gigantic and nothing fits correctly anywhere. I tried to search for assistance on the issue but found the vast majority of help and tutorials were broken links.
What info I did find related to HudShift.ini, but that doesn't have an option for 32:9 and doesn't handle the font issue.
I'd love to have this in a windowed mode that actually works or in full-screen with the UI actually playable.
I suspect the issue is that the full-screen resolution isn't actually my correct resolution, because when game launch properly in fullscreen the rest of my desktop doesn't resize and move around windows, but it does do that with Freelancer. That's possibly why windowed mode scales things correctly.
Does anyone who has messed with this stuff know a good solution for 32:9 or a way to contain the mouse cursor without resetting it to the center for windowed mode?

2nd) Edit fonts.ini in DATA\FONTS to fix your issue with text scaling
Thank for the suggestion.
Unfortunately, that just causes the game to render as 800x600 on my 5120x1440 monitor and looks like the linked image. I only figured out it was 800x600 because that's what the screencap resolution is.
I've tried the setting you mentioned, directly modifying the PerfOptions.ini and setting it to read-only, and giving it launch parameters with the appropriate resolution. None have worked.
