Willkommen!
Rheinland economy is flourishing: With the new Gallia-Liberty peace treaty, Trade as been flourishing like never before! With Bretonia and Kusari doubling down on their blockade in the Tau systems, Rheinland is the only lucrative route for most traders heading to Gallia. "We certainly didn't expect these turn of events. The New Berlin and Hamburg trade lanes have never been this busy." One government spokesperson said. "Most of this new income will be used for the continued rebuilding of our beloved Rheinland."
Corsair threat still looming: With Corsairs raids still going on mostly in Munich and it's neighboring systems, more efforts are to be made to deal with their barbarism. Konteradmiral Alfred Henze proclaimed: "Counter raids into Omicron Xi only had limited effect on their assaults, but holding a defensive war is not a solution either". As of recently, the Kaiser has ordered to recruit and mobilize more troops for the war effort. The Shipyards Alster and Oder have been operating around the clock to repair and renew the fleet for future engagements. It seems the Kaiserliche Rheinwehr will be shifting its focus on large scale fleet battles.
Holstein terraforming nearing it's final phase: After years of collaboration between Daumann and Planetform, the final phase is in sight for terraforming the planet. Already Holstein's population is slowly rising with mostly worker- and farmer families moving there. "Working with Planetform has been a pleasure. We hope that the terraformed Holstein will be a much needed boost to the Rheinland economy" said a smiling Daumann representative.
SEO Dortmund cleanup complete: As of recently Sirius Entsorgung has taken the lead in cleaning up the debris fields in Rheinland. Their first success is a fact: The Dortmund wreck, ironically one of their former stations, has been fully removed. "This is only the beginning of our grand cleanup." Said a proud Vincent Proch, the Schiffskapitän of SEO. The board announced there are more grand projects underway. A few of them being the old Osaka station cleanup together with Samura Industries and the Köln debris field. He continued: "This will not however, hold us from our smaller cleanup efforts." Likely referring to the cleanup sites like New Londen and Texas.
Possible development in Omega 11?: Rumor has it that the government and AWES are preparing plans behind close doors for future development in the Omegas. As of now, both government officials and AWES representatives were unavailable to provide commentary on our inquiries.
Rheinland push Red Hessians out of Köln: Misusing the the Rheinland Civil War for their own gain, the Red Hessian terrorist group was responsible for many assaults on Cologne infrastructure. With Rheinland back united however, they stood no match against a combined Rheinwehr. It seems peace has returned to the system, in which both the Rheinland and Gallic house can take a sigh of relieve. "This is only the beginning." said Konteradmiral Ferdinant von Habsburg. "With their defeat in Köln, we can now focus our Westflotte in driving them out of Dresden." Already battleship Strausberg and it's support fleet have been preparing for confrontations in the system.
The Hudson treaty: A cause for worry?: There has been an uneasy silence when it comes to the Hudson system. It seems neither Liberty nor Rheinland is willing to start negotiations over Atka. "I know it's a sensitive subject, but someone has to start at one point!" "The last thing anybody wants is another dragged out war!" A concerned citizen from Hamburg proclaimed. What are they waiting for?! This childish waiting game has to stop! Another worker from Houston said. The old treaty is still in effect but severely outdated. Both governments refused to answer our questions. We will keep you posted when we have more information.
Danke für tuning in! We will see you on our next broadcast of Rheinland Nachrichten!
