This client is made for people willing to play vanilla campaign as well as enjoy it on a modern hardware with no related issues like a lack of widescreen support or GPU couldn't lock on the game to give you 100500 fps with your fancy RTX 4080. This client can do it. Contains no changes to graphics or else related to vanilla experience except for mentioned + 8-way strafing.
