Hostilities Within Pennsylvania
NEW LONDON -The recent upheaval caused by Liberty's 'pacification operation' on Erie seems to have finally come to a close, as it has now been replaced by a state of general hostilities between the Zoners inhabiting Pennsylvania and all Liberty authorities.
How did we get here? -The story of Erie in recent times is not a simple one to explain, but, it can be traced, at large, to Liberty's efforts to quell the last battered remnants of the Insurgency in their military operations in Vespucci and Kansas, in which Bretonian forces assisted as well.
As the Liberty Navy approached Veracruz, the capital of the Insurgency, so did the majority of the rebellion flee to other worlds. While some were received back, most made their way on as far as Erie, where there enjoyed relative comfort and luxury at the behest of the local Zoner population.
Where things turned for the worst was only a few weeks ago, when Insurgent remnants hiding on Erie targeted and successfully destroyed a satellite operated by the Security Force in orbit of the planet. This, alongside the general distance Zoners took from House authorities, led to the Liberty Navy seizing control of the important planetside sites, including any and all manufacturing hubs, docking bays, and other facilities crucial for the Zoners on Erie.
In response, the Zoner movement has declared that they will maintain hostilities, and although the situation on the ground is far from clear, it appears that they have been receiving assistance from other unlawful groupings, a move which prompted the Liberty Government to impose an embargo upon the system. The BBC is currently not able to verify that Zoner and Liberty forces have openly engaged in large-scale combat, however reporters are present to bring updates frequently.
What follows next? -Although the situation is still in development, the Liberty Government has thus far refused to offer comments on future actions. The Liberty Navy shares a similar approach, as do the other agencies in Liberty entrusted with peacekeeping and securing the vital trade infrastructure.
In the mean time, a Foreign Office source has confirmed for the BBC that Bretonia will seek a path of 'mediatory talks' with both the leading Zoner representatives and Liberty officials to bring a swift end to the conflict, perhaps starting with a ceasefire that will give both sides ample time to reconsider the next moves. The Foreign Secretary will speak later today on the situation in Pennsylvania as we presently understand.

Liberty... Ironic, isn't it? Hardly I ever saw a more hypocritical name.
Don't fool yourselves, citizens of this damned House. As soon as you have something They want, or if you know something They don't want you to know, They will come for you. And your family... and friends.
That's exactly what happened to me 30 years ago. They said I was dead and put me in a prison cell for 19 years with no trial...
That's Liberty for you.
But I escaped. They made me a rogue, and they hunt me like one... YOU could be next!
