Wow, Antonio,
with all the deep respect for you and your (Aegis) skills,
taking into account the fact that I have been watching you, Antonio, in silence for a long time.
I often met Aegis on the battlefield where you do /1/2'ing.
Moreover, this is often associated with not the most sporting behavior.
Most players, when organizing any PvP activity, agree in advance with the opposite side on the place and time. In some cases, the composition of ships and pilots. This allows to maintain an interesting balance of combat for many and the ability to live long enough to have some fun. It’s not for me to tell experienced players the effect when either absolutely the entire enemy team attacks you, or vice versa, they all scatter in all directions.
Aegis, based on what I have seen more than once, does not hesitate to force a fight even in situations where you simply don’t want to fight. Which in turn simply leads to a reluctance to enter the game at all. I know firsthand when entire groups of players can easily leave a game because their combat skills may have been less competent than those of the enemy side. I am aware that PVP is a part of the game, and it has been and will be, that there have been and will be fights. But sometimes, after a hard day, you want to shoot npc with peace of mind, without some space hunters decided to launch a raid on you. And on what I am focusing your attention now. You have a power that it would be foolish not to reckon with. But it would be even more stupid not to take into account the destructive effect of your activities. And it seems to me that the simple salty “30 days ban” already rings an unpleasant bell.
Again, years ago I saw you differently, Antonio. Just like I saw a different pvp culture. If earlier I could call any fight a sparring that had the goal of having fun for both sides, now at times it seems more like a war of annihilation. Aegis, possessing its terrible power, could have the goal of containing the most “dangerous” representatives of Sirius or an anchor on the scales of balance. But I see that this ship is starting to tilt, and this is growing into a problem.
There is a certain category of people (not so small) who meet you only in battle. Moreover, I am sure that there are players who have not met you at all, due to the fact that they are doing their “white” or “gray” business in isolation. The fact is that any guild of hunters or something like that exists exactly as long as they have a job. After they kill all life in the Sirius, they disappear. Kauket's question is not what perks you want or whether you need them. The question here is how Aegis plans to survive in the long term and what you plan to create. Conventionally, tomorrow all the criminals will disappear (which is not far from the truth, considering how poorly organized criminal life is in Sirius), and there is simply no one to kill. What will Aegis do?

That stuff should be separate from an OF request thread - I was tryina read the RP but don't even know where
This.
Message Dumps and Character Rosters aren't required of an OF, but an Infopage and a Feedback Thread are, and they should be linked here.
If the contents of this creation request is to be the infopage, it's a bit....short?
I mean, I get that this is a pretty uncomplicated faction, but even for very straightforward BHG it's a little thin. There should be a little more to it than just one single section of general information.
Since it's a combat-oriented faction, maybe some more info on who you primarily fight and where, maybe mention of some of the larger ships that are used, like that Bustard.
Aside from that, the few impressions I have of this faction are pretty negative, and I too question why you are pursuing officialdom with a faction with such a minimalist premise and no apparent need for it.
Edit: Responding to negative but calmly expressed feedback with personal attacks really isn't doing your faction's reputation any favours.
Yeah, I have to admit it is kind of problematic when nearly every single time Aegis shows up, regardless of the group that I'm flying with, the consensus always seems to be "oh great, time to die, I guess" or "this isn't going to be fun." And I feel the frustration, admittedly, born of this. It's been an issue with previous BHG official factions where it really does just feel like a pubstomp group with most roleplay being done to facilitate this. Most of the forum presence I've seen for Aegis has been licensing requests and comms for things like codenames, ships... essentially, just pursuing further and further things to kill with.
I get it, bounty hunting is the name of the game. But it'd be nice to see some more spice with seeing the hunters as individuals with their own personalities and such, maybe feeling like it's a living breathing part of the tapestry outside of "these are the bunters and they hunt bounties."
Good luck, guys.
I'll lower your bonus by 5% if you get OF just because.
On a side note about RP, yeah they do RP ingame. Had a few RP run ins and they were pleasantly generic - this isn't ironic, they felt like talking to your average spiteful Bunter.
Sure individual chars are interesting but I'd rather have the Bunter have slight characteristics when they're about to shoot me over a Bunter chatting me up to no end.

One would imagine that a faction doing their job is a good thing, do we really have to ask ourselves what a BOUNTY HUNTER faction would do if there were no more enemies? This is a roleplay server, and the single most vital part of the Bounty Hunter role is to shoot down opposing forces for money from mostly lawful entities. They're not Freelancers, I'd say they do their job very well if they see a hostile and engage it. That's how things go, it would be unrealistic and immersion breaking if they sat around for hours upon hours to chat with the local corsair that knows he cannot win a fight ooRP and decides to just gives up and attempt to roleplay out of it.
Jarring, really.
Good luck guys.
Last words are for fools who have not yet said enough.
Going for officialdom means they need to step up their game. Perfect way to make sure they may go for more than /1 /2 if that is what they only ever did. Nothing stops anyone from doing /1 /2 on indies/unofficials, and there are official factions who still do that at the sight of a red, while other official factions don't even manage to get out more than lowercase "hi", ooRP local chat typing and violation reports against them.
Nothing guarantees effort more than a faction going for officialdom, when keeping officialdom is as easy as logging a powertrader that does not know the slightest bit about roleplay behavior. Everyone has an eye on Aegis now and comes with high expectations. Given Antonio is involved, who has always been the one PvP gamer with a certain level of conscience and roleplay quality, I have no doubt that Aegis will take this opportunity to prove that they are more than players who log to intercept players who sit in the same place for hours and then complain when Discovery throws a reaction at them that isn't in their favor.

That's a bit more valid feedback we can have an actual conversation on, thank you. Let's clear one thing up first - Nyx herself knows that starting with a leading statement of "anyone replying to this is automatically admitting guilt of everything I say, and accepts the post as the truth", followed up by an attempt to make a highly subjective personal experience equal to the general objective actions of the faction as a whole, followed up by another leading assumption of "you don't even need ofl perks, so why bother" is doing very little in attempting to provide valid criticism hence why I hope we can both agree it was anything but that. It was a low effort post, it got a low effort reply.
With that out of the way, let's break down what you said. I'll start off with text addressed at my name personally, as I don't think you'll do any of us favor if you try to make this a you vs me thing instead of general feedback for Aegis as a whole. I wish I could take 99% of the blame or involvement with the things you're contributing to me. I am probably not even in the top 10 most active Aegis members at the moment, and I only joined recently when compared to the faction's creation date. Additionally, I've missed vast majority of engagements when I was in the faction, including the recent ones such as Delta or Gamma, as it's simply not a faction I play that much. Putting my contributions to the fights I was never part of, never gotten any input about, and never had a chance to have a discussion about, is at best an attempt made out of ignorance. I can understand that part, due to the anonymity of Aegis members making it hard for people fighting them to know who's behind the ships, yet it needs to be addressed nonetheless.
The main reason why I, as Nyx would call it "got triggered by overly loyal members", or in more human terms willing to engage in a constructive discussion with validly presented feedback from both sides, is because I think there's a lot of misinformation being spread around and it's not doing justice to the more active members, especially leadership, who are playing the faction far more than I am. The fact that a bounty hunting faction is being criticized for doing bounty hunting roleplay is testament to that. If any faction has the label "PvP = RP" associated with them, it's the bounty hunters. Does that mean it's the only thing they can do? Absolutely not. This goes for all factions, BHG included - you can always do better relative to the opportunities of your faction's lore and ID. In BHG's case that'd mean engaging in more shady contracts, not being the black-and-white good guys exclusively going after bad guys, bribery roleplay, escort convoys, prisoner trading, etc. which is part of what I personally am trying to do in my limited time playing Aegis. To then discredit the faction for properly playing their role of engaging in bounty hunting activities, as a bounty hunting faction, is laughable at best.
You are correct on the aspect of Aegis' PvP etiquette when it comes to balancing fights. I have said it countless times, one of the points of the game with no matchmaking or proper balance between extremes (fighters - battleships) is that the community has to self-regulate on the matter of fight balance, otherwise it inevitably spirals into a vicious never-ending cycle of "they ganked me in 2018, so I will gank them now". If one side has all the aces, the ball is mostly in their court (though not entirely, as numbers matter) to put effort into balancing fights. That is certainly something I myself hope the faction will do better in its officialdom phase, as I gave them criticism for it, but this will not work without the other side willing to cooperate. What do I mean by this? For starters, coming in with criticism of lack of non-combat roleplay, but then logging off at the first sight of an Aegis ship in a 3v1. Conversely, spawn-kill ganking Core/Aegis ships in Delta but then being surprised when they retaliate. Both of these happened in the last week alone. I wasn't present in either of them yet it's hypocritical at best. I'm not directing this at you personally, it was meant to give an example of how if you don't even give someone a chance for a roleplay or a fair fight, while you yourself engage in the lowest of PvP and player interaction etiquette, you don't have a strong case in criticizing others on the matter. All you are doing is keeping the well poisoned.
I'm afraid the well is too poisoned for the relations to normalize between Auxesia and Aegis in particular, but I hope I'm wrong. Aegis gets along fine with pretty much everyone else, including PvP and pre-arranged discord raids. There seems to be a lot of past drama that I and most other regular members have missed by now as the years go on. The only way to break the never-ending shit slinging cycle is to just give a little of a damn. It really doesn't take much other than genuine effort from both sides to make it a more enjoyable experience, encounter in encounter out. That goes for all us regular members, not just the leaders or the high command. Heck, I'd be willing to mediate if both sides are willing to improve the status quo. In any case, appreciate the constructive feedback.
Oh, come on. Blaming for /1 /2 when a lot of "pro RPers" are giving off such an RP vibe and quality that "Cringe is overwhelming" (insert StarCraft 2 archon voice)? I have seen them RP with their clients. What kind of RP do you expect from a group of ruthless mercs if you happen to be their target, an invitation for a cup of tea? Chill and mind the RP of your own faction, first.
