This is GNN reporter Adrinana Livingston reporting from the news ship 'Conquistador' above planet Cambridge.
It is a sad day for the People of Brentonia. Today a Battle group of the Hellfire Legion struck from the border worlds, in this battle group, a lone Ship tagged as Helghast emerged and was able to deliver a killing blow to the SF flagship.
A civillian frigate, was trying to assist the forces of good but it was caught in the malstrom and destroyed.
In this process, the ship belonging to the elusive Helghast fired a strange and alien weapon at a smaller Island to the north of cambridge. This weapon, when it entered the atmosphere, it cause all the inhabitans of the the Island to die, their bodys quickly decomposing and then strange planets began to grow and soon, the Island is not uninhabitable to human life.
We do not know the reasons or how this strange weapon works, but it is disatrous and Relief ships are being sent in. We belive that this vile attack was a test by the Helghast and this was only a prototype of the Weapon.

ooc: This is cause for some RP, SF HF and Helghast Post. This weapon is part of my post in the Faction recruitment page, go look it up.
"Thank you very much, Gina. Yes, it is a mess down here in Cambridge. As you can see, a virus has been released, and we are not allowed to enter the planet without protective gear. The newly improved medical frigate Horizon has the cure on hand, but they are going have trouble diagnosing, administering, and inoculating the general populace."
"Robert, is there any confirmed activity of other problems around Cambridge?"
"Yes, Gina, once again, people are dieing faster than a normal virus, although it is still taking time for them to die outside the immediate area of effect. Doctors and medical workers are trying to save the lives of those all over Cambridge, but one small island in the North was totally wiped out, and is spreading throughout the planet.

New reports say that it was, in fact, that the SF Battleship Sierra was hit in the core, crippling the ship, but not totally destroying it. Additionally, a misconception made by the GNN says that it is not the flagship, but still a decorated ship of the SF.
An interesting figure: Southampton Shipyard put out its daily report, saying that it will cost approximately 90 million credits from the SF to repair the ship. However, due to the actions of Sierra's crew, SF is rallying for a discount, although Southampton Officials say that SFBS-Sierra has entered Southampton for repairs one time too much, and they are getting sick of repairing her.
That's all from now, and back to you Gina."
"Thank you, Robert. We will be sure to keep you, citizens of Sirius, posted on this horrible disaster. We will return shortly after this break"

Retired A very big thanks to Dark Oddity who put my signature pic together
OOC: I just want to make sure Everyone is clear on this for those who have not read my little blurb in the Helghast Recruitment Thread.
The "Virus" if you really can call it that, is a mixture of Methan and Biological organisms that decompose the bodys of the ones unfortunate enough to be caught in its waves. It doesn't spread like other viruses, it only kills what comes close so the incedent has been contained on the northern Island in cambridge. The mixture then uses the nutrients from decomposed organics to make atmosphere suitable for Helghast to breath.
Just a short backgroup info bit about the Incedent
"Harold Johnson reporting from the Cambridge Research station where we have an exclusive interview with Lieutenant Harris of the Assault Frigate Exeter."
"I understand you were involved in some of the engagements with the Hellfire Legion. Tell us how this all got started lieutenant."
"Well that would be when the Dreadnaught Atlas came and parked up outside Cambridge. They started discussing piracy over comlink and scanning ships, when they were only supposed to be here for an equipment purchase. We told them to *censored* off, in a nice way of course."
"And they refused?"
"Yeah. We gave them plenty of warning that they'd be floating in space if they didn't do what we asked."
"So you fired at them?"
"Yeah we gave them a hammering, then they took off towards Omega 5, so we escorted them out that way."
"So that was it?"
"Nah, they dropped out of cruise and opened up on us, so we hit them with Cruise Disruptors and vaporised their hull around them. I think they got most of the escape pods away alright."
"A frigate and a bomber destroyed a dreadnaught?"
"Nah, just Exeter. Think Arawn got tied up with something else."
"And just recently I understand you took on an attack group threatening Cambridge again."
"Yeah those lousy *censored* dumped some disease on the planet. That got the crew plenty riled up so we went up to make those Hellfire and Helghast *censored* suck space."
"You took on a Battlegroup alone?"
"Nah, luckily Arawn and a friendly Frigate were able to help out. Reckon we'd have been *censored* without the help. The *censored* took out the medical frigate before we could do anything though."
"Thank you for your time lietenant."
"No problem. You got me away from the *censored* paperwork for a while. I just wish we could have stopped the lousy *censored* from releasing that plague. The boys are a bit riled up at not getting any shore leave."
"This is Harold Johnson reporting from Cambridge Research station."
ooc: Huh? Im not sure what your getting at Hyperwave, but if you need to know what weapon I fired, it was basically a hypervelocity cannon that fires small capules conating exploasives and the corrosive organisms.
