pls help :( discovery is the best mod i know, i would realy hate it if i couldnt play it annymore:mellow::(:(
Well, it sounds to me like you didn't completely whipe the old FLMM files before you reinstalled, try searching for any old FL files before you install it again.

I bet you are missing your Freelancer.ini file. (check the logs in FLMM, it probably states this). Go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE (or wherever you have Freelancer installed and check if you see that file. If you dont have it, send me a PM with your email address... I will hook you up asap.
Having said that, are you sure you reinstalled correctly? What I do is....
1. Go to My Computer
2. Highlight the Freelancer Folder
3. Delete it
4. Slip the cd in and install Freelancer
5. Make a new folder somewhere on your hard drive and name it Freelancer-Fresh Install
6. Copy all files from the freshly installed Freelancer into this folder (this gives you a quick backup if you lose your cd or whatever)
7. Open FLMM
8. Activate the Mod you want (in this case Discovery Mod), close FLMM
9. Make a new folder on your hard drive named Discovery Mod (oor whatever)
10. Copy all files over to the new folder.
11. Create new shortcut on desktop named Discovery Mod (or whatever) using the Freelancer.exe file in the exe folder
12. Go to FLMM select restore backups
13. Delete the stuff in the original Freelancer Folder
15. Copy the files from your "Freelancer-Fresh Install" folder into your original Freelancer folder.
16. Repeat steps 7-15 for all remaining mods you play
This makes it much easier jumping mods rather on relying on a buggy program like FLMM to do it, its faster doing it this way too once you get the initial stuff done. I have several mods that I visit, and 1 Im doing work on. This makes it easy for me to jump between mods. If you only plan on using the Discovery mod, you can omit the extra steps. Hope this helps dude.
Try re-downloading the mod. Just remember to delete the files from the previous attempts. The simplest way is to select the mod in FLMM and click the delete mod button. It might be more effective to open the FLMM mod folder (usually at C:\Program Files\Freelancer Mod Manager\mods) and delete the folder for the discovery mod.
Also, there is some issue (I don't remember what, but it's in the readme for the mod) with using the OpenSP setup.
Exile, I got your PM. I just sent that freelancer.ini file and a link to the quickfix patch via the email you sent. When you stated those steps in my first post dont work.... it wont work if you dont have your freelancer.ini:D.....
Since you did say that you didnt have the freelancer.ini.... check your email let me know if there are any more issues:P

Edit: wow horrible grammar, its early for me here, meh too lazy to fix it...
