It's hard to imagine the last time I posted anything was in 2019.Man time flies!
Coming back after a 5 year hiatus feels like Christmas morning. There is so much stuff that's been added or changed since last I played! I've really enjoyed discovering fresh new things this past week.
Things I've found myself saying aloud (as close to as I recall) include:
"Where is Transit? Was I somewhere that doesn't exist anymore? Am I going to explode if I un-dock?"
"You can mount SNACs on LIGHT fighters, now!?"
"YO, ship dealers have more than one page, now!! Duuude that's so sick."
"...What. What do you mean.What do you MEANNmy Geisha isGONE?? ... WHAT do you MEAN I need RP-permission to fly its replacement the Amaterasu!? Duuuuude.... Welp, time to write a story how Ozei had their flying Inn and restaurant stolen, I guess ;-;"
"Wait, there's a fighter with a forward gun? <Tests in Singleplayer> Hohhhhohohohhh, this GUN! <Tests FG on NPC fighters> YO this is anime AF!"
"There's a MINI BISON NOW?? (Longhorn) I'll take two, please!"
Gods, I swear I need to record myself lol.
Anyways!
Most of my ships are still around (except my Geisha, apparently it was deemed ugly? I liked it..), but I went ahead and made a new account to see how easy/difficult it is to make money as a new player. And I must say, I'm really enjoying the economy revamp! It's nice to see everything a lot cheaper, which means mission running is a viable alternative to trading, now. I've already dinged 1,000,000 and plan on going for a Ceres Frigate so I have enough room to haul away military salvage but good guns to grind missions with.
I've got plans to actually try and get my flying space restaurant idea off the ground, this time around. Already, the Mrs. and I have been flying around prepping a Democritus for RP heavy encounters. Main thing is to get the /pimpship lights ready, now!
Good lord, I still have a tendency to talk a lot. Welp.
What big stuff have I missed in the past 5 years?
Looking forward to seein' ya'll in space, both old faces and new!

Since last I was around, I've since learned I have off-the-charts ADHD. That might explain my tendency to ramble a bit ^_^;
Signature is SEVERELY out-of-date, sooo I'mma figure out what-do with it later!
There are also Encounters now, as well. Penny, Magellan, Galileo and so on have encounters that bring good cash, but are always a good thing to do in a pair (Except for the Penny ones, they are easy to do solo). Encounters also drop Codename weaponry you can use.
Also, Welcome back. Good to have vets returning. And speaking of vets, don't forget about your vet package, see if you are eligable for one.
It sucks that the Geisha got replaced. I initially wanted to have the restaurant ship at the New Tokyo Bazaar to be a Geisha.
You will find a few restaurants and snack bars in space now. Newark has one, New Berlin's orbit has the Wurstbude, Barrier Gate has Barrier Gate Ramen and Miss Neko makes a living selling rice balls to spacers in Kusari. Bretonia, obviously, doesn't have a space restaurant, but I am sure there is a lot of fried meat on Leeds!
