Report: Natural Overload.
A lot of the more lowclass refugees, the ones born into factory settings for a couple generations, are going a bit bonkers with the..I don't know, exactly. Just that some people are straight up and down loosing it. Making spears, shredding their clothing. Its not at all normal behavior for a colony. I'd say they're going native, but they're making this up as they go..basing it off some really, really bad vids. Thats just part of it, really. Something about a simpler way of life is really attractive to these people, they've had very ordered, simple lives before, and they want work. I suspect its motivating them to make spears and whatnot, the idleness.
Furthermore, I swear to god...the Zoners...they're encouraging it, that or they're too bloody stupid to figure out that this is not normal human behavior. I keep having Ex/Sec return the Zoners to their bordercamp. They can offer medical treatment all they want, but I'm beginning to believe
Scott looked over his report. It wasn't at all well written, nearly stream of concious. He'd have to rewrite the entire thing before submitting it. Moreover, his language was skirting around regular standards.

Addendum: The Zoner medical team on the settlement fringe has been behaving suspiciously. Reports which have been forwarded to Ex/Sec are attached
Now, just to clean that up and organize it...and then bundle those reports the orderlies have been sending to Ex/Sec...
12.67% of the more lowclass settlers, those born into factory settings for generations are displaying reduced forbrain functionality and adopting steryotypical neolithic behaviors, such as woodcarving and a facination with fire. This is not at all normal behavior for a colony. Re: Mineral Survey
The Environs of the Port Jackson Lease Agreement has proven, as was predicted by the electromagnetic satelight imaging, to be more than consistant with the rather high planetary norm for surface mineral deposits on Planet Sydney. Topographical Map Enclosed Below:
The high levels of iron, copper, and niobium in the ground are accompanied by the deposits of crystaline Deuterium which has developed along the canyonsides as the water carved its way down, mostly through tidal action caused by the effects of the system's minor star. The lakes on the ground of the lease area make lowground mining difficult, but the canyon walls will provide excellent positions for vertical stripp mining, and later inset habitation.
Reading over her report, Alexadra grimaced, and thought "Not at all an acceptable report...will have to edit. For one, we're not allowed to call it "Sydney", anymore...and its just..unclear"

There. Attach the Topographical Scan, and done.

Dear Doctor Scott,
I am the one who assembled a medical team made up of mostly Bretonian medical personnel from Cambridge.
I felt that having Bretonian staff may make the refugees feel more at ease. To this point, they have performed admirably. I made this team in an effort to keep constant service available to anyone who might need it. We are well supplied even if we are a bit overwhelmed at times.
I too have noticed the strange behavior of some of the staff. I can't be certain but I think it may be related to the mix of minerals we have in the ground here. Perhaps we can work together to figure out why. I have noticed that the Zoner natives on this planet are unaffected by it having been here for so long. One word of advice, some of those caves you find have some rather dangerous native wildlife living in them so watch yourself. Also, if anyone plans to handle raw deuterium, you will need proper protective gear. We have plenty available if it is needed.
Feel free to contact me at any time with any concerns.
Arrived on Planet Sydney via Bowex transport shuttle as ordered, with Major Binns and his company of 200 men. The security situation here is a complete and utter shambles, the BCA Ex/Sec have just about enough men to either guard the perimiter of the settlements, or enforce law and order, but not both. At present they appear to have foolishly been ordered by the Colonial government to do both, with the result that neither are successful. Internally there is total disorder; half the men act like savages and the other half act like petty criminals - there is no chance of getting any serious infrastructure or commerce established until we have basic order and governance. As for external threats, the colony is surrounded by wilderness, so we are slaughtered by wild beasts and easily vulnerable to corsair or other pirate raiders who could land ships nearby.
The BAF company of 200 men should be able to provide external security whilst Ex/Sec handle internal policing. My men are more than capable of keeping local wildlife at bay, but should a human force threaten us we will need more defences. If the colony intends to expand, local shielding is neccessary as Sydney lacks a Planetary shield and we would be toast to any orbital bombardment. I recommend the installation of a 3 mile radius SB-Bulwark or Palisade Ground shield at the earliest opportunity. To further secure the Colony we need border defence installations; I would recommend a series of turrets at 1 mile intervals along the circumference of the colonial territory, mounted with gattling-class laser cannons and a central barracks in the BCA compound with storage of munitions and heavy weapons, ideally a couple of hovertanks (Sentinel MkIIIs) and anti air weapons (4 Screamer-class missile batteries should suffice). For further protection in case of large scale assaults, a large "Devastator" plasma artillery battery positioned in the centre of the colony would have sufficient range to see off approaching forces to a range of 100 km and a ground-to-space cannon of either photon-barrage design or, for greater cost, a T3-900 ICARUS Tachyon cannon would defend against most conceivable threats short of a full invasion force.
Colonel Baker handed his report to his adjutant, who pointed out that it was meant to be read by the colonial authority as well as the Admiralty and that perhaps certain niceties of political correctness ought to be observed. The Colonel made some hasty amendments.

He handed the report back to his adjutant to be typed up and delivered.
