Asno slumped into his desk chair. Paperwork never relaxed him and it'd been a busy day. The problem in Gamma with the Buccaneers had been giving him headaches. Maybe Miguel was becoming senile...
Asno stretched, cracked his fingers and got to work:

RE: Treaty amendment
Since you gents've got yourselves into some trouble with the Brotherhood seems we need to review our agreement.
I'm still not sure which side's story is correct, but that's of no relevance.
What I suggest is you stop taking your transports to Crete, and instead divert them to Cadiz or Leon if you prefer. These bases are closer to your zone of operations anyway, any food shipments we can get our transports to ship them to where they're needed, and you can pick up artifacts at discount prices.
The amended treaty would be as such:
1. OPG pirate ships will not operate in Leeds.
2. Buccaneer pirate ships will not operate in Omega-3.
3. In the case of any OPG/Buccaneer encounters elsewhere in Bretonia, priority will go to whichever party was there first. The other party will find a different place to pirate in those cases.
4. The Buccaneers will not pirate any OPG or OTC smugglers.
5. The OPG will not pirate any Buccaneer smuggling vessels.
6. Buccaneers may dock on Cadiz and Leon for the purpose of dropping off goods and picking up artifacts.
Let me know if these new terms are acceptable and we'll get signing.
I hope we can put these recent 'ugliness'es behind us and keep this agreement in working order.

I apologize for the wait. It seems that our communication system developed a minor fault that caused a few messages to get stuck in the queue. Once we got it resolved, this one popped out of the system, so we're addressing it now.
As it's written, we find the terms of the agreement acceptable. Just one thing, though. I'd like to see some provision for going back to Crete once this situation blows over. It was a minor misunderstanding, and I really don't want it to define the nature of the dealings between our people.
Can I suggest senor that you make attempts to repair the situation with our honoured and respected elder Miguel Sheppardi. While I recognise that he can be difficult and sometimes aggressive I can assure you that should you approach him respectfully and make a gesture of goodwill he is a sane and very respectable man who will consider any offer you make. My father was on very good terms with the TBH who although their numbers have diminished make very dangerous enemies. The last communication I recieed from Miguel was that he was prepared to hunt the bucanners into the floor. I can assure you that he does not mix his words and that perhaps you should consider openeing negotiations and consider an appology. While I am respectfull of your own rights and beleifs I give you this message only as advice and goodwill and make no demands upon you myself other than those setout in our agreement.
