Nelson glanced down at the next report lying on his desk as he did his morning paperwork.
Report to the Board of the Admiralty Re: Court Marshal Wrote:Regarding the court marhsal of Ensign Gregory Edwards (YGF-III: C/1st-B[2]), for crimes of Mutiny, Murder, Theft of Military Ships and Hardware, Communicating with the Enemy and Furnishing Supplies to the Enemy.
Officers presiding:
Commodore Henry Moore
Captain James Marchant
Commander Sarah Ronson
Representing Accused:
Lieutenant Commander John Tubbs
It was alleged that, on the date of the 28th August 817 A.S. Ensign Gregory Edwards of above designation did knowingly and deliberately kill Commander Mary Roberts, CO of the Gunboat HMS Sealion, and thereupon take unlawful possession of said ship, flying it to Manhattan to participate in an illegal ship auction where it was offered for sale to Kusari and Corsair agents.
Plea: Not Guilty
Verdict of Court Marhsal: Guilty as charged on 5 counts.
Sentence: Execution by firing squad.
Addendum: Sentence carried out at dawn on Planet New London, 6th September 817. The HMS Sealion has since been successfully recovered thanks to the LSF and Interspace Commerce Collections Department.
Nelson sighed and filed the report. Another officer lost, though this one would hardly be missed from the ranks of the BAF.
