' Wrote:Fair enough. McMillan is happy to leave local matters to Local Junkers. If I had known this sooner and clearer there would have been less friction, but its done now so whatever.
Unless a message or action directly relates to the Congress from a Bretonian Party, then McMillan will leave it for [Trafalgar] to deal with as they see fit.
I guess you can consider this in action from this moment forth.
All McMillan asks is that he can keep his Office and Bar.
Thank you & I hope you view the friction as RP friction & not personal. Taffic is a bastard & he plays a hard game, but if I didn't think you could cope with it I'd have dealt with this quite differently.
Although we have spoken in chunks I agree with AJ that you & I should re-open negotiations & put some sealant in the cracks. Lets start again & mean it this time. My clan does recognise that Congress is a global body with wider reaching concerns & that at times we will need to defer to a bigger picture. Keep me in the loop on these matters youll be surprised how cordial I can be.
Your personal Office & Nelsons is of course yours; never in doubt. Might even pop in & have a drink if youre buying & one punch Adam isn't about.
I will be incredibly busy over the next week essentially other than Monday evening & Sunday I will be booked up completely, but I will find time to PM you & hopefully we can sit in space & talk about stuff.
(// What timezone(s) do the [Trafalgar] crew play in? I went looking for some of yews over the weekend but couldn't find a single one. FYI, +9:30 Australia here - good playing time for me works out to the wee hours of the morning for the 'muricans.//)
It'd be nice if I could catch up with you for a chat, Taffic. I reached Trafalgar the other day and had a quick run around Leeds, New London and Cambridge scouting for friendlies before retiring. But I couldn't find any hint of you or your boys, with that being said I have no idea what to look for really.
I'll be staying in New London for a few days whilst I track down the Peterborough. Seems mum took off again somewhere. If you can get a hold of her tell her that I'm waiting. You'll be pleased to know that I haven't had any issues with the guys regarding Misaka, they've all been pretty chilled so far.
I'm gonna own up to being one of the Trafalgar bunch, but I won't say which one. We're all UK based (I think). And we all have real jobs and families (I think!), so sadly our in game time is restricted.
Edit: AJ, we have it deliberately skinny at the mo to allow people to comment on the idea of us rather than getting into the dark heart of [Trafalgar]
Forgive the negative tone in my previous post. Stressful night at work and the tone hit me in a way that was definitely not intended. I didn't mean to come off snippy nor am I unhappy to see new Junker factions spring up.
I've got a ton of other assignments for McMillan as we can leave Trafalgar in your hands. The Congress still does have a big stake in Bretonia with the war on, but local dealings and the everyday is definitely better left to a group focused on the area. If things shift in a way that the Congress' involvement becomes of benefit we'll be there.
I'm also slowly working on redrafting the Congress' faction info, mission statement and direction. It might even come out with a name change and a new tag. I'll keep you posted in any case.
Me personally, I like the idea and I'm looking forward to future interaction.
' Wrote:I ran into one of your [Trafalgar] boys last week at Bornholm, and I was quite impressed with him. We had a good chat for a time while picking through the debris field.
I look foward to seeing more of you in the future to be sure. :)
Ditto on that, I enjoyed our com chat & RP too, some of us have been away at a Live Action RP this last weekend called Maelstrom, hence it being a bit quiet Traf wise, looking forward to seeing you out there in the void.
We're currently still discussing adding to the info and playing with some small ideas as well trying to fit in to the overall scheme of things. so we'll keep you posted.
If you need to talk to anyone within Trafalgar as we flesh this out (job oppotunities always welcome) then please post here or PM me as at the moment i'm acting Gaffer for my sins

I work full time & I am in a final year of an Accounts course - 3 nights a week & then course work so my involvement in the Trafalgar Project has certainly dropped off of late. I had really hoped I could juggle my commitments but this was naive. Discovery is too immersive for me & I don't need to be plotting & planning when I should be working on Cashflows & P&Ls instead. I am still involved in the back ground but for all Operational needs Sinister Duck is your man & I recon he'll do a better job than I could.
We will pad out the Introduction & I have edited the Leadership section to reflect this necessary change
