I do not approve nor disapprove. Time will show the results of these decisions.
This system has its flaws. Every system has. How the new Council of ministers deals with it, is the question. Hopefully they will listen to the will of Maltese nation, unlike most governments of this type, and will be more effective than the previous system.
Mariotti familia acknowledges and wishes the new Council good luck in any future actions.
I agree with my fellow countrymen before me. Time will tell if these actions will prove useful to our glorious nation. The ESS will always protect the interests of the Outcasts, even through this change of governmental system. I see more flaws with this governmental change than the previous one, however, it looks more organized and hopefully the government will play a more active role than the previous regime. A absent government does nothing for its people. I would also hope that this government does not encroach upon our ways of piracy and smuggling. I can foresee a large uproar if we turn into a state like Liberty. One of the reasons we are such a prosperous nation is because we are an outlet for so many other organizations and individuals not welcomed by the lawful side of the universe. Do not get me wrong, we have our enemies like the Corsairs, who should die a thousand deaths for their treachery and their arrogance.
Elected officials, I saw no election nor heard of any. As with any elected government, there is corruption. I can assure I will be watching every footstep of this elected government with close consideration for the Maltese people. Elected officials worry about being re-elected, they speak the speak to get themselves into office and do little or nothing with the power given to them, and the very worst of the worst they pursue personal agendas. I do feel a little bit more secure that these people were formerly Dons of the Council, however the Council was a little bit absent. I respect this new government, for now, but if you hurt our people you will answer for your actions. And that is not a threat, it is a consideration for our people.
In closing, I hope that this government is not afraid of striking our enemies. Liberty, corporations, corsairs, others in this category. I propose genocide. Unless you are afraid that is.. There is much to be taken and much wealth to be gained. Our territory needs expansion and there are many valuable planets to be massacred and annexed in the name of the Outcast Nation. Our enemies have stood too long and they must be struck down.
Once more unto the Might Outcast Nation! For Piracy! For The Orange Dream! For Outcasts Everywhere!

To whom it may concern,
I am Ayem, head of the ibn Sina Familia. I am not a Don. I have not chosen that path. I will not seek a place in this new system of governance. Breathe easy. In the time to come you will face a struggle for acceptance. There will be those who say, "No, I will not obey your command". I encourage the young Commonwealth to not meet this response with the usual blunt fist. Earn the respect of your people anew, or the Maltan nation will only experience new rebellions, bloodier uprisings.
To command an execution is simple, but to persuade a person away from their misconceived resistance to your desires, that is the true mark of governance. I hope my slaves will not be sent to avenge the feelings of too great a number of petty Dons squirming in their old Council chairs, the Commonwealth insignia fresh and bright on their lapels.
I offer this small warning, harm my people by misgovernance and I shall answer that trespass with a succinct retort.

Frankly, sirs and madams of the Commonwealth government, I really don't approve of this course of action. The very idea of elections is a inherently corrupt idea, especially since every Outcast Citizen I have talked to today said there was no voting. I did not vote for these people, and neither did half of the Outcast Nation, which leads me to ask the good former Don's of Malta, if you are going to dissolve yourselves only to have yourselves put back into government, why do you bother with making a new system? With the false idea of "voting", it makes no sense to my why the Council would do this. I would not be foolish enough to go against the new regime, but I hope you have thought this idea through.
Good day.

Please read above: The new Commonwealth is formed of the old Dons. Titles and responsibilities have changed, but not the people. You may relax, if such a thing you do.

Gentlemen, I would just like to point out that never does it say that the entire Maltese Nation gets to vote for any elected positions. Just because the name of the government changes does not mean the games of politics do not. The powerful, influential, and arguably those suited best to lead shall remain in power... regardless if it be called a Council or a Commonwealth.
So many of you fear change before you even have a chance to see if the change is for the better or the worse. Cast aside your cowardice and take a chance... a life without risks is an empty life indeed.

Well, since none of my interests have been threatened - my contacts are still in fairly high places, I see no problem with this. I'll never get used to sending messages to the "Maltese Government" though..
I hope to have many good dealings with the newly formed Outcast Government in the future.
