This is hallarious! Who'd you hear this from? Our ships are not warships. They're purely defensive. Do you see biodomes on a Rhienland Battleship? Typical. Haha.
If we picked sides, We'd be dead long time ago.
Our peace is law. Look at the only system we claim. Omega-49.
Zoners and Corsairs live cordially on Planet Gran Canaria. Mollies are our neighbors and we havent had problems with them.
This is a pitiful, unjust, mere accusation; completely untrue... Hah. Its got more holes than a damn Freeport bar...

Sitting in his chambers, John Holliday reviews the recent message
Quote:Cr... well... Doc Holliday. Senior, first of all, I don't want you to pick a side. I want you to dissapear. You picked all the sides if I can say that... You are supplying Corsairs, Outcasts (tho, I don't believe this), you have bases Sirius wide and you claim more systems than anyother house. Now... if you have so much power and you state that you are a peacefull group, why don't you become Peace keepers and prevent disasters like the one where my son was involved?
We try to be peaceful but people are making habits of bringing us conflict. We initially left houses for that reason. Liberty at war with Rheinland, Bretonia at war with Kusari and so forth. We have made much effort to avoid it but then someone like you comes along and wants to start what we left, a war.
I never said anything about power either. I will say this and you probably wouldn't understand unless you were in our shoes. I have been an officer of the law and I've even been on the other side of it. Neither side was particularly appealing. I also have a simple philosophy, "If one treats me with a level of respect, regardless of who they are, where they're from or who they work for, I will return it." Those I count as friends I am fiercely protective of.
I won't disappear. None of us will. As I said, you can shoot my transport from around me all you want. You can do that to many others like me. You only make our resolve that much stronger.
I won't lecture you anymore as I'm sure that no matter what I say that you have your mind made up and won't change it.
" Tell me then Sandero....... how can a group of people possibly hope to balance abundant resources in the desolate wastes of the borderworlds when diplomatic niceties are balanced upon a knife's edge.

Typical Tomoe. You are not worthy to take words from the mighty Jinkusu.
We're not talking about resources, We're talking about people... nuetrallity. The very reason we left the houses centuries ago.
Honest mate... I can see you're a concerned citizen.. but I think you need to get that Dell touch pad updated, it seems to be feeding you all sorts of nonsense readouts. ...Tell you what Bud, trade that piece 'o junk in with me ....I can get yer a brand new model that will give you the current and up to date Sirius Situation. Get in touch for up to date scrap prices.
PS. The offer is extended to anyone else with the same problem. *Cough* finance can be organised at preferential rates.
Riley finishes listening to all the messages, thinks of all sorts of things to say, but simply closes his neural net with a sigh & a roll of the eyes.
The poor guy has obviously had a complete break with reality & is looking to join his son by way of 'suicide by Zoner'
He exits the top tower turbolift of his whale & heads towards the command center & is reminded of an old saying en route: 'The dead know only one thing: It's better to be alive.'
Ah well, if it wasn't for all the crazies out there, there'd be no way to guage what sanity is.
Passing the galley, Riley is distracted by one of his automated crew stocking the bar & indulges in a few shots of whiskey from a bottle fresh out of the crate.
Sitting at the Tombstone Estate, Victor gets this message, looking around the room he notices a few other people typing on datapads. He gets up walks over to Doc and whispers in his ear, "Doc, no use in trying to reason with this man, he is clearly lost it. Perhaps we can offer him medical aid? Doubt he will take it though."

Doc just turns to Victor. He snickers a bit and shakes his head, "I could offer it but I doubt he'd take it."
He sits and thinks for a moment at what a Molly once told him, "Stop trying to please everyone. It doesn't work."
