Would it have really cost you anything to say something along the lines of, "Hey, watch where you're shooting" before you opened fire? Instead of what it now HAS cost you?
Quote:5.2 All attacks must be the result of some form of role play. "Engaging" is not sufficient. An attack is any hostile action that drains shields to less than 50%. Being hit with a CD is not considered an attack. If a player is attacked he has a right to defend himself regardless of who is attacking.
Consequences: We have in the past specifically stated that if you're nearby and are watching a fight that you may become an incidental to the combat. We've also specifically stated that if you are going to join a combat that is already in progress, you need to say SOMETHING to that effect. You failed to do so.
Guns stripped. That's 2 nice debs - and 4 Hammerfalls - because you failed to say anything.
If you post in this sanction and are not directly involved or a leader of the accused person's faction be advised that you are consenting to be subjected to the reprisal of my choice which may involve in game repercussions up to a ban.

I was present at the time. Once I get home I will PM screenshots to you, Agmen.

Um how is OH GOD an engagement notice. I am the one who posted the screens. I sent in 4-5 minutes worth, and no time did you say anything indicating an engagement. As the admin stated. You do not want to be hit by a mine? stay away. Since it was a running battle, you had to be right on my butt to be hit,and not a safe distance away. Hell even a simple "you hit me. no i hit you back" (as lame as that is) would have been ok. But "OH GOD" could have been meant for anybody,or anything in system.
I am not even sure why you would have even defended a Junker against an LSF fighter.(also have no Idea why a LNS Dread was also defending said junker, but he never hit me)
@ boss. Not sure what screens you may have. I sent in entire chat from start of my engagement on the Junker,up to my death, and no word's of engagement. I do understand you may wish to defend a bud,but he broke a rule, plain and simple.

Dave's currently asleep.
This entire thing is about a single Salvager's five Nomads, which are approved research specimens.
Besides the fact that if a Naval Carrier asks you to pull off from attacking a civilian, and you start shooting it anyways? I'm not going to say anything else here, since it'll just turn into a trial-by-sanction-thread.

You are right Boss. It was just a few Nomads i asked dropped, and not the cardi/artifact's he also had,or the navy pilots, and admiral. He refused an LSF order for a dangerous comodity. It is also a reseach cargo, how ever he was a Junker, and not a scientist. IF he dropped the Nomads? all would be fine. He did not,and I fired, then i am killed from behind with no warning from a player not even involved, and THAT is the what this is about, Nothing to do with the junker. Someone just wanted PvP and used a stray mine to get his kill without any RP.
I do agree that Zack did say OH MY GOD. That was clearly shown in the original evidence. The evidence also shows that was all that was said, and that Zack was not an intended part of the original combat. If you're brought into a combat because you're too close to it, you either need to leave the area (to continue your conversation with the person you were talking to at the time) or you need to state that you're joining the combat. Self defense is applicable when it's obvious you were the intended target - not when you're collateral damage.
Quite honestly, simply pulling away from where the combat was going on would have been your best option, instead of opening up with your guns.
Please put any further discussion of this to PM's.

At least let me defend myself thanks, It was all a freaking misunderstanding.
I came to see what was going on, and the LNS-Reliant was telling the LSF not to harm Civilians. Then I got hit with a Nuke mine, so I said something and killed him before he killed me.
I didn't know I wasn't the target, I thought he was trying to kill me!
Bit unfair that I get punished in a Revenge-Report because I embarrased him. Sure I killed him with little effort because he can't dodge for toffee, sure I made him look like an idiot infront of his co-workers. But he should have watched where he was spamming those mines, he nearly killed me.

You spam mines like an untrained monkey, I flew up to see what was going on and a Nuke hits me as said untrained monkey flys past me. Only after I killed you did I realise you were shooting the Junker. It all happened pretty fast, Like I said, you can't dodge for toffee.
The rules state nowhere that you have to give an engagement notice, and the surprise of being hit by a mine? I think 'OH GOD' were appropriate words for such a situation, I didn't feel like talking about revenge or my mother's, dog's uncles vendetta against the LSF. I didn't want to die. I defended myself.
And in accordance to rule 5.2, I arrive at a scene to see what is going on, I hear of an LSF attacking citizens, then my sheild drops, I think I'm being attacked. I defend myself.

I may not have said much, but when you get hit with a mine and you think you're a target, you don't sit and talk about the weather.

Why does everyone keep calling me a PvPwhore? I was just chilling and seeing what was up and people try to kill me. I'm not even a good fighter, and I prefer pages of RP to fighting...
I am sorry you thought you were under attack. I was cirdling the Junker, and dropping mines on it. You should have stayed at a safe distance, and not got so close,as mines are short range.
As for my dodging skill's? If i knew i was being shot at? i would have dodged, but had no idea till i lost my shields/armour. Did not even know it was you, until the death message. I personally thought the Dread shot me. He was yelling not to kill civi's,referring to the junker i was attacking for not dropping Nomad's.
I think big misunderstanding on both side's.
