Gunther slowly turned the knob to his office door, unsurprised it was not locked as he left it. He sighed in relief at the sight of his office being devoid of its intruder, sluggishly sauntering to his desk and throwing himself into his chair. Eying the room intently, Rall failed to notice anything out of the ordinary besides one minor detail.
A slight frown spread across the young man's face as he noticed three rocks sitting on his desk with legible markings written on them. Rall disregarded the markings on the rocks, deciding to read the letter under them; more than certain who had written it before he ever read it. Gunther smiled at the words "Since when have I ever listened to you?"
Remembering the few times Eva had listened to him, he smiled and began digging in a box marked "personal," where he had been packing old items away that meant something to him. Rall pulled out something silver and clunky, slipping it into an envolope. Afterwards, Rall flipped over Eva's note and began writing a short message of his own.
"Dear Eva,
As you may know at first I was rather displeased by your 'gift,' but after reading the letter you left me I couldn't help but smile. You seem to have forgotten some of your past deeds, the very reason why you're even allowed to run rampant on Mecklenburg Station. Along with this letter I decided to send you a gift with something I earned a while ago that I think you've earned.
It's nothing special, just a gift from a respected figure during past events. I figure wearing it while you're around Mecklenburg will help you avoid trouble or awkward stares.
Do be careful not to accidentally sell it,
"
Rall tossed the letter into the envelope alongside the medal, and finally sealing it carefully. Feeling rather lazy after just having finished a day on the job, Rall signaled for a passing Flieger to step into his office. The Flieger was assigned the simple task of leaving the envelope inside a fighter designated "Graf Eisen."
