Re: Permission to Transport
Dear Sir/Madam,
Gateway Interstellar is a small Bretonian firm specialising in the transport of goods all over Sirius except some areas which are deemed too unsafe for our vessels , crew and cargo. We are a "family orientated" company of close friends who lawfully carry out our business to a high standard and as such i send this message today.
Since the start of the Liberty/Rhineland war and the restriction of trade between the two houses, Gateway has steered clear of the area wishing to respect the laws of the area at the time. However, with the relaxing of the terms of the blockade Gateway would like to ask for permission to transport goods from Rhineland to Liberty. The cargos would consist of Engine Components to Lux Food. And pending developments in trade other items which would of course be advised to yourselfs.
Gateway are aware of the rules to be applied if permission is granted ie; Scans and inspections, and are more than happy to oblige in this.
Our Conference Centre, Gateway)G.I.C.C. , is currently docked at Manhattan and i am aboard in order to seek the permissions required.

Could you please show me where the blockade has been relaxed? If anything, it has gotten tighter with the outlawing of Blood Diamonds.

Engine Components? Why, exactly? The transportation of war materials such as these from Rheinland to Liberty has been banned because of the ease that they are tampered with or altered in some way. Added to this, I think that the transportation of any materials that could be used for the purposes of war by your good selves would not be taken well by Rheinland. As far as I understand, Gateway is with Bretonia in not taking sides in the war.
Luxury food is already legal to bring into Liberty, as it is not a material that could be used for war. I cant throw gourmet sausages at Major General Rall, after all. Neither will the Rheinlanders poison them; we all know just how much things can escalate once chemical and biological warfare is considered an option.
To make an exception for your firm, we'd need a few things:
- A very good reason.
- Credentials.
- References.

Re: Permission to Transport
It seems i have either been misinformed Commodore or have witnessed gross misconduct in the Liberty Navy then. Whilst researching trade routes i was in the Texas system at Planet Houston with several Navy ships watching as cargo ships laden with Engine Components and several other types of cargo ( none of wich are the companies listed as exempt in your blockade document) flew past. I asked the Navy ships on guard and they told me as long as the cargo is clean and free from being tampered with then they are free to pass. This is what i meant by the " relaxing of the blockade".
As for Luxury Food, i did not know this was free to trade already, thankyou for the information.
Other types of cargo would include ore mined by the IMG who Gateway ship for. It is a lot safer to travel through the Texas system rather than the Omegas and California to get to the Colorado system for instance.
But if the blockade has not been relaxed in the ways mentioned then i apologies for wasteing your time.

ADTO Calum McDonald;
If they were secondary fleet personnel, I expect nothing less than gross misconduct, insubordination and any other accusation you can throw at them. I'd not be surprised. Then again, the last one I saw to do this ended up minus a ship. Good stress relief, which is why they're around if nothing else.
However, if they were primary fleet personnel, then I would like some names so I can make sure nothing of the sort will happen again.
Ores are not classed as goods used for war, so go ahead. At your own risk obviously, since I do find it somewhat hard to believe that a warzone is safer than a borderworld.
