Right you know Gunboats? Yes? You know their Missile Turrets too then. Once you've fought one of the Gunboats with one or two Missile Turrets, then you know what I mean.
Seriously. Especially Gunboats with two Missile Turrets are annoying as Hell. Don't say that they are bad, they are actually pretty good. They track long and fine. And they hurt! Really, they hurt your Bomber and even your VHF. You can dodge them, but you can still be hit by them.
So my Suggestion is to give them a limited Amount of Missiles. Just like normal Missiles and I know that it is possible to change that. Or leave the unlimited Missiles, but nerf them. I know that this will create a lot of Tears, because of all that People who fly around with their Gunboats.
But honestly, it's not only the Missile Turret's Fault. It is the Fault of the People who spam their Missiles, and the People who spam Gunboats at all.

Gunboats/Gunships are built to hunt down fighters and bombers, so, its natural to get owned when you face a missileboat with a VHF. There is no need to change something on them. Gunboats are balanced as they are now, efficient against fighters/bombers, failing against cruisers.

The funny thing is, in disco gunships/gunboats are 'anti fighter', but in vanilla FL they were meant to be anti-cap, essentially what bombers are in disco now.
I dont think we can really claim disco to be an extension of vanilla FL anymore =P
Gunboats kill: Light Fighters, Heavy Fighters, Very Heavy Fighters, Super heavy Fighters, Bombers, Gunboats and Cruisers.
The last Thing only happens on rare Occasions, like the Cruiser is stupid. You also don't get that I am not complaining about the Gunboat's Role in Discovery, I am complaining about the People's Missilespam that needs to be removed. The only possible Solution I see is to give it a limited Amount of Missiles.

i don t think there is any basis to nerf them more ( by limiting them ammunition ) - they use 200k energy to fire - so only medium gunboats can really fire two of them efficiently ( if you call it effective anyway )
i wouldn t support adding ammunition to gunboat missiles. its a trait of capital ship missiles not to require ammo.
besides - bombers are hardly underpowered vs. gunboats - rather the opposite.
I know that they have an Energy Drain. But honestly Jinx, you should see that. I mean how they spam the Missiles over and over. If you think there will be Time between the Missile you dodged and the next Missile...there are about ten Seconds. :mellow:

I hated them, when they became pulsemissiles, but after the damage wa slowered in one of the updates, its about ok.
But the missile spam ist still painful.
Since it is difficult to fight a bundle of fighters in a gunboat, the missiles need some punch, so better do not nerf their damage or their good tracking.
But low the fire rate, even one missileturret can spam people to death, with half their current rate of fire, or even less, they might be ok (and putting two missiles on a light gunboat would suddenly make sence).
