It has been some time since we have had the pleasure of talking. Well, I got bored with life on Baden Baden, so, I am working again. The MND have some small time work for me, not to risky, but at least I am out and flying again. Nothing like the feel of an engine under your ass and the stars in space to look at. Anyway, I figured I would send you a little message that I am at work again, in case you need any courier work done. I am flying a behemoth, Gauss's Glory, if you can give you pilots the word that I am on the job, but please, as little information as possible, I would hate to have my cover blown by loose lips, never know when it could cause a problem.
Admiral Malte was browsing her paperwork when she spotted a letter with stamps from planet Baden Baden on it. She recognized the handwriting and opened the letter before touching any other priority paperwork.
She began to smile while reading the letter and remembered her old days when she was a young soldier under Otto Gauss and Admiral Kriegers command.
Lieber Otto,
I am both honored and delighted to recieve a letter from you and also to hear that you are doing fine.
Having a tan and enjoying life with your family seems not enough for you to aim for.
As it seems you left Admiral Krieger alone on the planet. Tell me, is he still the old mentor of mine? Does he still have this grandfatherly tone while speaking to one, even in his retirement?
He seems to be the same good poker player as back then, since otherwise you would not be forced to work again. Your bank accounts sucked dry by the old man?
Take care out there Otto, you served our Vaterland for a long time and did great things under Admiral Kriegers command. It was an honor to server under you and I still value your efforts both of you put into my future.
So don't get killed and try to stop by at the Ravensburg some time.
I would like to see the tan you developed on Rheinlands jewel.
Yours,
Malexa
Using a verry old form of communication seems to be verry strage for outsiders.
Handwriting letters was an old tradition within the Rheinland Military High Command between their ranks if it was a private conversation or to keep correspondence inofficial and off the common traceable tracks.
