Dear IMG leadership
I post this request for the use of your gunboat in my endeavors. I am from a family of Junkers. My father and his father before that worked the scrap fields for many decades. I myself have decided to spread my wings and pursue a career in freelancing. I am interested in your gunboat as it is both maneuverable and has great offensive and defensive capabilities. This will come in handy as I plan to spend my time exploring the taus and also the Omegas. Thus having the craft that can withstand the harshness of space is a priority.
If this request is granted I will in no way harm any IMG ships, or any ships of your allies. However, I will be using the ship's attack capabilities if I am attacked and forced to defend myself.
I will be eagerly awaiting your response of this matter and any further questions you may have, please feel free to contact me. The channel is always open but always secure.
Thank you for your time.
Tycus Dekker

Re: Hydra request
Greetings sir.
To come straight to the point, this request will be denied. While it is good to know even civilian and freelancing personel recognize the Hydra as a good craft, you do not give us any valid reason why to grant you the rights to such a vessel. Seeing as you will be exploring in the craft you choose, you would likely meet a large number of people. People who may have had few dealings with our guild. If you come into such a first contact scenario, in a hydra, such a party may well assume you are acting with the guild's approval. It is a risk we are not willing to take, considering you have no affliation with our guild whatsoever.
However, there is a craft available on the open market that will suit your needs. The "Ahoudori" class, still categorised as a gunboat, is freely sold at the shipyard in the Honshu system, and available to the civilian market. It was specifically designed for deep space exploration - As such it should be more suitable to this task then a Hydra, which was designed as an escort and patrol vessel.
Hopefully the Ahoudori will serve your needs, sir.
Kind regards, Johnathan Sanders, on behalf of the Independant Miners Guild

Dear John Sanders
Thank you for replying so promptly, I will take your advice and adopt the Ahoudori explorer. That being said, I was more than willing to answer any questions you were wishing to ask about my use of your craft. As an aside to this matter and any future dealings with the IMG, can you please send me the draft copies of exactly what you would like with respect to Tech requests. This being my first attempt at requesting the use of your property I was not aware of what you required.
yours respectfully

//Sorry if my RP was not up to standard, but I am new to the game. I tried to find your Tech request chart but was unable to find it and therefore decided to post in the communications channel in the hope that I would get direction and perhaps a little help in to exactly what was required. Be warned I will be trying again in future, once I get a better hang of the RP requirements of the game.

Re: Hydra request
Greetings once more mr. Dekker,
The issue with your request was not a lack of information, but your lack of affiliation with the Guild. We do not just hand out military-grade spacecraft that have a distinct IMG signature to anyone who asks for them. Such craft by virtue of your posession of them would affiliate you with our Guild, and your actions in them would speak to some degree for the Guild. If your actions and Guild policy do not match, that creates a diplomatic mess for us. And that is not a risk we are willing to take.
Regards, - Johnathan Sanders, Independant Miners Guild, Research and Development Director

// Ps. Your RP in this was more then appropriate, we just don't give freelancers we don't know permission simply because they ask. The IRP reason above is also the OORP reason for the denial - to prevent diplomatic incidents. Besides, the Kusari Explorer looks almost designed for what you want to do with it... makes more sense to go that route.

Dear John Sanders
Sounds fair enough to me. Is there a way one becomes affiliated with your faction, besides joining of course? Don't mean to be a nuisance, merely trying to gather the information required so that I can make an informed decision. Once again I would like to ask for some information regarding the above issue, perhaps a method that I can use that would make my services of use to you, as a Freelancer.
Are you perhaps looking for some extra recruits, if so, should I make an application to your guild? Working my way up through that route? If you don't need anyone extra, I will make arrangements for the purchase of the Explorer Gunboat and perhaps become more acquainted with your faction through those means and then apply for a IMG hydra once you get to know me a little more.
