Together we are stronger!
Given the recent events that have occurred to Freeports 1, 9 and 11 I believe it is time to draw closer. If not as a whole, then as a community. Bonds between fellow residents of stations should be stronger than ever in these trying times. Standing together we are stronger than alone. This is not a call to arms - far from it - to do so would merely result in our extinction as a people. No. Instead, this is a call for moral fortitude, to work together within our communities instead of against each other. Because of this, I have opened this channel to the people of my home, Freeport 10.
We are by our very nature, a free people. Because of this, those of us who can are prone to wandering the stars, often as merchants and explorers. A stationwide census can account for those who still live and work aboard, but that does not account for all of 10's sons and daughters. This is a call for those residents of Freeport 10 who are currently travelling Sirius to call in and register themselves. This will enable news of significance or importance regarding the station to be rapidly dispatched to them. This will also make pooling resources easier in the event coordinated action is required on a matter, whether that be relief convoys delivering humanitarian aid or a temporary defensive force to repel aggressors.
Zoners who wish to transfer to the station - namely expats from Freeports 1, 5, 9 and 11 may also request citizenship aboard the station here at this channel. From there, their applications will be forwarded to Station Hall. Once approved, a lease residence will be provided with the option to buy any other empty accommodation aboard as a replacement at a later date. Citizenship also bestows the individual the right to stand for election for various posts in Station Hall and leave their mark on the station's political landscape.
To all of Freeport 10's residents who are currently abroad, return a transmission to this channel, to your home. Your name and that of your ship is all that is required. Thank you for your time.
This is Wilhelm Heinlein, aboard the freighter Hyams that is currently on a trading mission. I am sending my best regards to my home Freeport 10, I hope to reach my home as soon as possible. Do not forget that my trade runs are always for the benefit of the station!
Regards
W.H.

Ah Wilhelm, it's good to hear from you. How is the Dromedary holding up? Good ships aren't they? It was good flying with you yesterday, and I've no doubt we could team up again some other time for the station's good. I've added you to the list and forwarded your details to the register anyway.
The bartender on four-deck has also notified me that any residents signing on to the pilot's roster, or pilots transferring to live on the station get a 25% discount in the bar for the next week. Heh, I know where I'm eating for the next week. You might want to take him up on the offer too.

Hello Mr. Howard!
My name is Nalarien Thess. Freeport 10 have been my home for almost twenty years, and I intend for it to remain so for many years to come! I've just procured a shipload worth of pharmaceuticals and I'm on my way back home in my Dromedary freighter.
I love this idea of yours, Mr. Howard! I'm very glad to share this station with the likes of you, rational and thoughtful people! I hope we are to meet soon, either on board Freeport 10 or in the depths of space!

Oh, hello there. I may have suggested doing this, but honestly, it couldn't be done without the support and aid of Station Hall, so you have them to thank should this go well. I'd be more than happy to forward your details to the registrar, and will make sure that your details are recorded promptly.
Out of interest, do you live on two-deck? I thought I recalled seeing your name on one of the cabins down there, but I could be mistaken. Either way, it's good to have you listed, and I would hope that soon we can all begin to cooperate in convoys for the good of the station.
Just another thought - don't forget that the bar on four-deck is currently offering a 25% discount to everyone on this list. Just flash him your ID card to get your discount, I suppose. I'll see you in space then, Ms Thess.

Welcome
I am captain of trading vessel Valkiria, Whale class transport registered as ZTC-Valkiria. Due to last conflicts in Omicrons, I decided to find more safe house in Taus. I often visit Freeport 10 and I wish to join your community. I am peaceful Zoner, never get into way of anyone so you can count on me as kind of person that will not bring any problems at you. I am awaiting your respond.

Good day Mr Douglas. Freeport 10 always has and always shall be a refuge for those seeking calmer life than those on other Freeports. Lately the troubles in the Omicrons and Omegas have tested this philosophy, but we have held true, and you are more than welcome here. I'll put you down as a transfer citizen. This will enable you to vote on the referendums that are occasionally held, and claim the full benefits of a resident of Freeport 10.
Your ship will also be the largest in our trading fleet. It will be quite the boon to have it with us! No doubt we'll be able to fulfil orders and keep the station running far more efficiently than ever before now. If you have any queries or questions about the station, feel free to contact me or anyone else on the above list. We always do our best to be helpful.
Oh, and there is a good bar on four-deck. It should be easy enough to find. I've already sent your name to the barman, which means you'll be eligible for the 25% pilots' discount, which is now permanent (thanks to some persuasion from Nalarien). The food is good, so that should keep you going until you're settled down. If you want to claim a temporary apartment, head up to docking control when you're ready for the paperwork.

Good day, Mr. Lovecrepe!
My name is Amy Price and I'm the captain of the "Paperclip." Not that he should know, she mutters to herself. I know it's not the best name I could've picked for it, but this Gull class transport vessel has served me well so far. Anyways, she chuckles, about your message -- I can only agree with it. An excellent initiative! I've travelled so much lately that I forgot where I belonged, and that is Freeport 10. The "Paperclip" has been my mobile home, as it were, enough; it is time to return to my roots.
At the moment I'm in the Coronado system but I've already set course to Tau-37.
This is the captain of the scout ship Zoner-Guard,and also the ZBT The-Neutrality. The Zoner-Guard will be coming home to help defend our fellow zoners. The-Neutrality will continue to pick up,and deliver cargo to and from the freeports.

Well, today is shaping up to be a busy one! I'm pleased to make your acquaintance, Ms Price. I'm always glad when another resident pilot comes into the fold. I'll add your ship to the roster immediately. You know, we also have a chat room on the neural net if you want to be added to that too? The rest of us are there.
Also, remember that by signing on here you get a 25% off discount in Ken Neilson's bar on four-deck. Just between you and me, you're pretty much guaranteed to get a seat there too. Business hasn't been doing to well lately. A sort of mini-recession you could call it. Mind you, I'm not sure when you left, but the food has got a lot better in recent months.
Either way, I'm extremely proud that residents are coming together like this. You're all doing your home a great service, and your fellow residents are as equally proud of you all as I am. This cooperation marks a new era of prosperity for our home. Lets put Freeport 10 on the map!
