My name is John Frial, captain of OSC liner Crying Lightning. I am contacting you searching for help and your professional assistance.
About 7 hours ago my liner moored at Hawaii. I was then informed that a few guests have some sort of health problems. Initially it was thought to be an allergic reaction to a coolant leak inconditioning system, but no such faults were found. Later, when some of newly arrived guests and crew started to have symptoms, we realized that what we have here is an epidemic, one that is spreading rapidly at that.
Captain of Hawaii and its only medic, an intern, are both hospitalized. Also, 102 guests, about 40 of them have acute symptoms. No-one knows how many guests and crew have problems we don't know yet about.
First symptoms are dry cough and sore through. Later it is strong coughing spells and difficulty to breathe, even up to loss of consciousness.
I have given orders for guests to stay in their cabins for now. Total number of guests over both liners are 3589, of which 1572 are on Lightning, thus exposed less to disease.
I sincerely hope you will not deny your professional assistance in this situation.
As for the fees, I can offer 50 Million SC from my reserve funds. Money is not a big issue, health of our gues, crew and our reputation is, though.

This is Captain Richard Wills of the Cruise liner Perth Rescue We read your incoming transmission Captain Frial and would request your on board medics to transmit a sample pathogen at least to OSC command as we may indeed find more of these outbreaks.
I know we are some distance away in the Britionia systems, but for now we will halt our refugee rescue efforts from Leeds as several transports have already arrived from other systems. We would like the following data if possible.
- Where did the passengers from and to Hawaii arrive from?
- Did anyone report any additional symptoms longer than the original 7 hour window?
- Did you inform Hawaii and your last reported port of this issue?
It goes without saying Captain you need to quarantine your ship and possibly ask Hawaii for some medical lock down.
Above all, transmit a bio-hazard beacon so at least you'll give passers by a warning. I'll try to reach any medics from Cryer pharmaceutics and see what they can do.

Sometimes, when all you want is to gain your freedom, you must be willing to risk it all.
This situation seem quite serious, I have ordered my men to prepare the Centre of Healing, a Firefly-class transport to be send as quickly as possible to your location. Make sure that the passengers of your ship avoid contact with that of the Hawaii. We cannot permit the disease from spreading any further, especially not when there is no help yet.
I myself will stay on the Fountain of Health, since I am in command normally of both ships, however some of my more prominent crewmembers will be with the Centre of Healing, most notably my best doctor, Raimon Whitesun. In addition to him there will be 20 other doctor and 30 nurses. A variety of pharmaceuticals are being loaded onto the ship at this very moment so they will be prepared for anything.
If you have any additional information which may be useful do not hesitate to contact us.
I thank you for your support and will try to answer your questions as thoroughly as possible.
- most of passengers on Hawaii arrived either 8 days ago on a liner from Curacao, or 6 days ago from a summit on New Tokyo. A small portion of guests had arrived in various times, from 16 days ago to 2 days ago on smaller, privately contracted vessels from various locations. I'll have more detailed information about this group after a short while, I'm having clearance issues to access this date due to captain of Hawaii being hospitalized. It will be sorted soon.
- first passenger was taken in the medical bay 6 hours prior to my arrival, that is 13 hours ago. He was already in acute state, so I assume he had symptoms before that, but did not notify anyone. Another patient informed that she had slightly sore throat during a meal yesterday, which would be 15 hours ago. She didn't pay much attention to it at the time, though.
- Hawaii is the very center of this issue. I notified OSC planning department, so they divert all traffic goinf to Hawaii elsewhere.
Our current medical possibilities are quite limited, but we will try to take blood samples from patients and find a way to transport them intact. We will have to wait for arrival of The Medics to undertake more thorough analysis.
Captain Hammersmith,
Thank for your quick response.
I ordered all passengers to return to the cabins they had before the mooring. Before we knew what we are dealing with, the passages between both ships were open, for about 6 hours, so there has been some contact between both groups. Passages are now locked, I hope it will help to slow the further spread.
Awaiting your arrival, I'll try to gather all the information I can about arrival locations of all our guests, as well as all other incoming traffic over past two weeks.
Also, bridge of Crying Lighting can be assumed to be a rather safe area. My officer staff had no contact with passengers during this time; room is now securely isolated from rest of both ships. If the disease strikes me and I'm no longer able to work, my first officer will take over the command. Therefore, if any OSC captain or delegate decide to arrive in person, use the direct airlock to Lightning's bridge, as that is the safest location for now.

This is a terrible situation!
We are currently located at Baden Baden, so it will take some time for us to reach the place. We are willing to provide support in this operation. We are going empty, except for the required crew and a bit more doctors and nurses than usual, so there is plenty of room to operate here and enough room for possible quarantine of passengers.
I'll try to convince the OSC command to let us bring more pharmaceuticals, to assist the Centre of Healing and The Fountain of Health, though I can't promise anything.
Thank you for your support. We are indeed in need of some space to operate. We can not be 100% sure of most of rooms across both liners to be completely sterile, due to passenger and crew movement prior to quarantine. A safe environment would be of great help.
